I would recommend you visit a travel agency specializing in cruises. Advise them what you like & your budget. You may discover some hidden gems. You may very well have "the time of your life!"
My first was a 4 day on Royal Caribbean to the Bahamas. SPECTACULAR service, food & atmosphere; superior or equal to the finest hotels & dining establishments. The Bahamas, other than the stop at a "private isle" did not appeal to me unless you are looking for some duty free shopping.
A few months later, I booked a 14 day cruise throughout the islands on a "small" (size of a WWII aircraft carrier) liner. Only a couple of US citizens (more Brazilians, Canadians & Europeans). Extremely enjoyable since I met diverse & enjoyable people & was able to visit 11 islands whose ports are too small for the large liners (i.e. not spoiled by commercialization). Not at the level of Royal Caribbean but, very nice & less cost than the 4 day! |

I completed my 23rd cruise last month. You can see the world from a ship. You don't have to worry about the quality of accommodations, food or water on land. When onboard, you are treated well and have the opportunity to meet a variety of people. There are ships and companies to satisfy every interest and desire. I have taken large and small ships. I have taken luxurious and inexpensive cruises. Each has something special to offer. If you are searching for intellectual stimulation, family fun, exotic travel, or party time, you can find a ship to suit your needs. Enjoy exploring for what is best for you. Bon Voyage! |

You would probably enjoy it. We are from Las Vegas, so I thought our cruise was kinda lame. |

I enjoy cruising, its a fun and affordable way to visit different destinations. Each cruise line is different and offers different amenities, I'm sure you can find one that suits your taste. |

from our first cruise we have been hooked, it is the best vacation for us, we love seeing new places or just relaxing on deck watching the ocean.
We love Carnival, they are great, and the service is awesome. There is plenty to do if that is what you want too. |

i have been in a cruise in the mediterranean, in the caribbean,
Cruises are fun, no need to drive, to find a place to eat, they have more than you can visit, there is the spa, taking naps on the deck, running or walking on the track with a beautiful view, hitting the gym, and I take a
tour in every place and i like to walk the street and really feel the place, and shopping...ahhh |

I love cruising. I have been on 8 cruises so far, even a 29 day cruise. The thing about cruising is it's very relaxing, because you don't have to drive, you don't have to decide where to eat except on the ship, and you only unpack once. The downfalls are that when you visit a port, sometimes you wish you could stay longer. You do have to stick with the ships schedule as far as getting back on the ship by a certain time. I loved Alaska, Panama Canal, Europe, Mexico,The Mederteraum and well all of it. |

A cruise is just fine. You really need to go on one to find out if you like it or not.
I travel (with spouse) a lot. We found that a cruise is not for us. We like to get out and into the back country. Or find a bar downtown. Love to hang out at the pool and not worry about getting back to the ship.
Try it out you really need to decide for yourself. Both options are up to you... |
