When choosing a cruise, and cruise line, there are many factors to keep in mind, especially if this is your first time. Before making any selections, be sure you know (continued at http://www.bookrentbuy.com/The-Different-Kinds-Of-Cruise-Vacations.shtml ) |

I have been on numerous cruises. I've found that people either love them - or hate them. There's not inbetween.
I prefer Royal Caribbean and Princess. Have been on Disney also and NCL.
Depends on where you want to go. Best time is May or September - prices are usually the lowest at that time. |

The best one I have been on is Carnival cruise from San Juan. We borded in San Juan then went to St. Thomas, Barbados, Dominica, and Aruba, and then back to San Juan. St. Thomas is beatiful. |

The only bad cruise is the one I'm not on. Seriously, its my goal to try every line, to every port. I've done 4 cruises, 2 lines and 14 countries so far. After the Caribbean we'll move to Alaska and the Mediterranean. |

Been on Royal Caribbean 3 times.

2. Empress of the Seas - PA to Bermuda
3. Enchantment of the Seas - FL to Key West/Cozumel/Coco Cay.
Coco Cay is amazing and i didn't want to leave! |

I just got back a week ago from a Glacier Bay (Alaska) cruise. It was seven nights on the Carnival Spirit. It was beautiful! We saw the glaciers, brown bear, bald eagles and tons of salmon. The ship was huge and beautiful. I would highly recommend this cruise yet they are done sailing there until next spring. |

I've been on 22 cruises. You need to find one that appeals to your age group, interests, and costs what you want to spend. There are cruises that go literally everywhere in the world, so you have to decide it you want to visit beaches, archeological sights, natural wonders, canals, foreign continents. There is something for everyone. Not every cruise has people who say "Frisco." Not every ship has a fast crowd. A good travel agent can guide you. |

Yes twice, on carnival and royal caribbean, and my third is already in the works. I prefer Royal Caribbean because they have a lot of activities and the service is good. |

Disney. It is not just for kids. My grandma, aunt, uncle, mom, and dad all had a blast. They have an adult only restaurant, and pool area. Unlike other cruise lines, there are three dining rooms that you go to throughout you trip, instead of just one big one. They have formal night, amazing dessert buffets, lots of activities, and activities for kids and adults. |

I just went on an Alaskan cruise on Holland America Line. I loved every minute of it, and can't wait to go on another cruise.
HAL has smaller boats--their largest one only carries 2000 pax vs. 3000+ on some other lines. Our boat, the Amsterdam, only carries 1380, and our cruise wasn't fully booked.
There was tons of things to do during the day and I never felt confined or like I was going crazy being stuck on a boat.
HAL caters more towards retirees so there wasn't tons of young people on the boat, but that didn't keep me from meeting lots of cool people. It was not a 'party cruise' or 'booze cruise' like some other cruise lines. There also wasn't a ton of kids running around either (a plus in my opinion). |

Yes...I've been on 7 cruises I have to say in my opinion a Royal Caribbean cruise is the best. I sailed this summer for the first time. I've sailed on Carnival, but I enjoyed Royal. They both cater to the younger crowd, more of a party-family type cruise...Royal is a tad bit more sophisticated. The site I use is cruisesonly.com...if you go enjoy! |

Ive only been on one in my life, It was on the Carnival Victory and it wasnt that bad. My family and me went during the December break last year, and over into new years (taking the risk just like posieden =D) and it was alright. Flying down there was quite hecktic since our flight was sold out it was a very rare flight path (from YVR [Vancouver, BC, Canada] to ATL [Atlanta, Georgia]) and they made us miss our connection to FLL (Ft. Lauderdale), luckily they refunded it and allowed us to wait 3 more hours at the airport till the next flight. When we got there we spent a night and travelled down to Miami port. the check in was long, plus it was like +35 so it was very hot waiting to get inside the "embarkation" building. The boat smelled like a sewer while it was at the dock, and seemed quite outdated. We sailed from Miami to Costa Maya - Mexico, to Grand Cayman, to Ocho Rios - Jamaica. I myself was 13 at the time and didnt do any programs with "Camp Carnival" so i spent my days watching the little "DIRECTV" channels we had, and walking through Smoke infested hallways, which I might add, they didnt enforce the "smoking ban" very efficiently. Something I liked was how I could go and get a Pop anytime with my Kids Card, and also get ones for other people. Well worth the $30 as a pop was $3. Although when I ordered a Virgin Dacari, it was only $1 less than a regular alcohalic one. Plus being Canadian, it was quite a big pinch for us. I found the best part of the cruise was that I got my own "Carnival Card" pretty much like a Credit Card throughout the boat! So I could just charge a $20 Camera to my card without worring about it =P The Ports were alright, but the Mexico one was a very tourist run town, everything was in American $$ and expensive! Although we did go Dunebugging so it made up for it =) Grand Cayman was even more expensive but we swam with the Sting Rays so it was pretty cool =D I also thought it was odd how there was a Canada Trust and a Scotiabank there. Jamaica was really dirty and poor looking, we just went on a sightseing tour and bought some stuff, again, another tourist run town as it cost money to go on the beach. At the end of the trip we waited for more than 3 hours going through customs in a large warehouse in Miami. luckily it was partialy Air Conditioned. We flew out the same day and were delayed 1 hour after a 7 hour connected flight from FLL due to Delta Airlines couldnt find anyone to let them connect the aircraft to the gate door at YVR -_- Eventually we woke up at 7am (4 am PT) and got went to sleep at 3am PT >=O |

no, cruises are culturally sanitized, meaning you get no culture experience out of them and they are for yuppy people, and person who call san francisco "frisco" people from sf hate the word frisco so don't ever say it. |
