You just need your swim suits. The waters are warm in the Bahamas and Florida. As far as snorkeling, your Cruise Line will give you ideas of the best places, but the is no "Bad" places to snorkel in either place. Have fun, KG |

Between those 2 ports, I'd snorkel in Coco Cay rather than Key West. You should be OK with swim suits even in December, even if the water's cooler.

Definitely Cococay, Bahamas would be your best bet as its the cruise lines own private island I believe. Cant remember what cruise line though, but I think that you will just need swim suits and that the snorkeling there is amazing. Good luck, and congradulations. |

snorkel at Coco Cay.
if you get cold you could try wetsuits, but you don't have to.
have a wonderful time. |

I snorkled in Key West several years ago and it was awesome. We were there in February and we did not need scuba suits, the water was very warm. I've never been to Cococay, but I was at Nassau in January and although we did not snorkle, we did go to the beach and the water was colder there...but you probably wouldn't need the suit. I'm sure if you did some google searches you could find water temperatures in those areas to check to see if you need your scuba suits or not. |
