How Do I Get on a Cruise Ship at the Last Minute for a great price?

I live in Tampa Florida right near the Cruise Port &Terminals and do not want to go through a travel Agency for a last minute booking. Carnival and Royal Caribbean leave here daily. Since I am retired I can go anytime and would like a deep discounted cabin. Does anyone know how I can get a cabin on a last minute cruise without booking it through a travel agency? Is there a internet site to find out about available cabins on these ships or can I go directly to the terminal? Who can I call about this info? Please send email answer to: intravelsvcs@yahoo.com
Thanks,
Cruising out of Tampa

Time travler
You can not go on a cruise by showing up on the dock anymore. You need about 48 to 72 hours in advance because of homeland security. But if you log on to vacations to go and then their 90 day ticker, you will see lots of last minute deals with the best prices around. The only thing is the type of cabin is very limited when you book last minute. Now a days last minute means within the last month or so of the cruise. I believe some cruise companies require a 24 to 48 hour advance, but Princess requires at least a 72 hour notice. I have used vacations to go and they are just fine.

I've taken 2 cruises with Carnival Cruise Lines, through my travel agent and she has never charged me anything.. She gets paid by the cruise line and it's included in the price of the cruise..Let them do it for you and have fun..

Get the toll free #s off of internet for Carnival and Royal Caribbean. Call them let them know your situation and give them your email address and home phone. That way they can alert you that a cabin is available on a cruise leaving the next two days.
