BEST TIME OF MY LIFE!!

I absolutely love Carnival cruises. They are amazing. Then again I am in my 20s still so the fact that it is the "young party line" is good to me. I'd hate to be stuck playing bingo with all the 55 plus crowd. Carnival and RC both are budget lines and b/c of that they have way more kids than some of the more expensive lines. Sometimes that means the night club is kids only and that sucks. I didn't notice that on the smaller ships. Definitely the ships for older passengers have the nightclub every night for those 35 and below.

Carnivals drinks are amazing. I love the drinks of the day and they are so reasonably priced. You carry your hurricane glass and all refills are less than $6 which is cheaper than most bars and they are super strong. I've asked twice now about the drinks on Holland and apparently no one wants to mention it to me. (My sister is getting married in April on Holland Eurodam). So I'm guessing they are bad or not freely offered. Carnival has a bar almost every 10 ft on the ship, though I usually order at the Lido deck.

I've sailed NCL before and vowed never again. Rude staff, no food (it was like a French restaurant--you wanted to stop by Wendys afterwards b/c you were still so hungry after dinner), and the smallest cabins ever (I was living in dorm rooms at the time and I'd never seen a room so small).

Carnival is awesome. The food is good. The price is great. The cabins are gorgeous--my husband and I usually get Ocean View and we sit up in the window. As far as a couple of my favorite destinations--Belize, Cozumel, and St Thomas are my 3 favorite islands. Cozumel has the best snorkeling and great shopping. Belize has amazing things to do though I wouldn't spend much time aimlessly wandering if you get my drift. But Xunantunich and Cave-tubing.com are some of the best excursions offered.

I personally am more destination picky than ship picky. I know some people book the cruise based on how new the ship is but I actually prefer the smaller Fantasy line ships. I think they have better crew, better activities, and better layout.

In a word: AMAZING!! There is so many postive things to say about Carnival I do not know where to start!! My bf and I went on one not knowing what to expect, being it our first cruise. Let's just say that we wanted to hide under the bed when they called our section to disembark!!! We were on a 7 day cruise to an exotic western caribbean and it was the BEST vacation we have ever had!!! We are in our early twenties but are not all about the drinking and gambling, and there are so many other activities to do while on board, they definately keep you busy!! There are many itineraries to choose from, it all depends on which port you want to leave from, where you want to go, how long you want to stay, etc. I will tell you this though- Prepare for the vacation of your lifetime!!! Feel free to email me with further questions!!

Carnival is a major cruise line. The corporation owns Carnival, Princess, Holland America, Cunard, and others. Carnival Cruises is designed for the younger fun crowd. Princess Cruises is for the older group.

I have been on it and there is nothing negative about it other than I am old and the crowd was young.

They are really low budget. The prices are cheap but the ships are dated and they don't offer a lot of activities. I've cruised with them before and their ships are far from fun, they're boring. The service and food leave much to be desired. Royal caribbean is a lot better.

I went on Carnival once and promised myself when I went on another cruise I would never sail with Carnival again.

They're nothing but drunken party gambling ships. Not a good scene for children or women that care about their well-being.

They use to be owned by Disneyland offering families and singles an inexpensive 7 day cruise out of Florida. Generally speaking they are cattle cars offering a seven day drunk!

For singles this may be a good thing, however: if you are female and travelling alone this may be akin to being "Shark Bait".
