First, pick which cruise line you wish to travel with. I highly recommend princess, but royal caribbean is better suited for families especially traveling with small children.

You can visit the lines website and pick an appropriate voyage. I would suggest, for august, Tahiti

the cruise prices drop alot at the end of august. When school is out, prices go up. Kids in many areas start going back to school in august so the prices drop considerable the last week or so of the month. All travel agents / web site must sell cruises at the same prices so there really isn't that much room for play as far as getting deals. What the travel agents do is offer stuff like category upgrades or free insurance etc. Sometimes they will book you as part of a group so they can get a lower price. Try a site called www.cruisecompete.com You pick a few cruises you are interested in and the travel agents will e-mail you their best deals. You can also play them off of each other a bit to get a few more incentives thrown in.

Go to http://www.Beyond360travel.com they have great deals on Cruises and you also can compare the prices on all Cruises. (Carnival,
Royal Caribbean, Norweign, Holland, Costa, Princess, Crystal and Disney) By the way you can also click on Groups and find a group that leave the date you want to leave and pay the group rate Good Luck!
Bon Vogage!

Tropical in August? Try the midwest its steamy hot and you can cruise any lake you want for less.

Megan
Try this web site. It is for Carnival Cruises only, but it allows you select cruises based on Departure Location, Desired Cruise Locations, Months, and Duration.

I use the search engine at:

http://www.vacationstogo.com

I don't necessarily purchase there, but it's easy to use.
