I do it all the time. I usually go on a cruise with "X" amount of money and I'm spending it all. I don't see any reason why I should blow it on booze when I can spend it on other things. You can bring it in in mouth wash bottles or water bottles. That is how I usually do it. If you want to get fancy you can buy things to hide it: http://www.hideyourbooze.com/

I've heard they are starting to crack down on people bringing booze in, although I haven't had a problem before. The embarkation process is crazy and they really don't have time to search every single piece of luggage for alcohol. Be smooth about it, don't flaunt it, and you should be fine. |

I do it every time I cruise. I put a bunch of rum ion a water bottle and put it in my suticase. My husband brings cans of beer. The worst case scenario if they find it is that they take it away from you until the last night of the cruise in which you can go get it from 'alcohol jail'. My husband has once had it taken away, but other than that, never a problem. When we took our cruise in South America, people actually bought wine and beer in port and carried it back on and had no problems at all. All cruises wouldn't allow that, but they had no issues. |

you can't, they'll take it off you and give it you back on the last day. Buy it at the many bars |

the best way or the way we do it in florida is with www.floridaflasks.com, the cruises love overcharging for drinks! we also use this for clubs and bars.

On Carnival Cruises it is not difficult. Buy whatever you want to bring on board and then wrap each bottle individually with bubble wrap and put in your suitcase that is being delivered by the cruise lines, not the carry-on baggage.
If you bring wine, you may bring it to the dining room and they will charge you a corking fee. (last year it was $10.00) and it is worth it.
Sorry, I just realized that you said not wine or champagne. Well, I brought a 40 oz. of gin on board the same way. I had no problems.
I have done this several times and they have never said anything. |

I have heard people putting it in shampoo bottles, lotion bottles, body wash bottles ...stuff like that. Just make sure you aren't bringing 10 bottles of shampoo and 7 things of lotion. Lol.
I personally don't drink, but I know this is what others on board did. |

You don't have to sneak it. Just pack a couple bottles in your luggage. They aren't going to make a big deal out of it because they want you back on a future cruise. Some people suggest filling your Dasani bottle with vodka in port and simply carrying it back on board with you. I agree, the ships overcharge for drinks. I purchase some and tote a small amount from home. I drink less on a cruise than while at home because I'm having so much fun that there is less "need". I do like to sit at one of the deck bars by the pool in the afternoons and purchase a "bucket" of Bud aluminum bottles. You get a price break by buying a bucket of beer. If I do decide to make myself a drink in the evening, I go up to the Lido Deck restaurant and bring some lemonade back to the room for mix. |

I bring two bottles of mouthwash: One tequila flavored and the other rum. |

The best thing to do is to not.
If you get caught with that you can get in some serious trouble. |

Price to pay for cruise is for sure more than you can spend on alcohol alone on-board. So, it's not worth trying to sneak. |

I do it every time I cruise. all you have to do is put a couple of bottles in your luggage.... No problems
If you have a decent room steward they will even make sure you have plenty of ice and glass wear. I even tip to make sure they bring me juice to the cabin.
