How do they store electricity on cruise ships? |
I was thinking and I realized that cruise ships must require a lot of electricity considering it's for over a thousand people, so my question is, how do they store so much or gain so much on the cruise? |

Modern cruise ships are propelled by electric motors called azipods that are attached to the bottom for the ship. These electric motors get their power from massive diesel engines in the ship which generate enough power for the azipods and the entire ship. So they do not store it they continuously generate it all of the time. |

There is plenty of electricity and hot water - all by products of the ship's engines. Water and fuel oil are stored of course - and all the lovely food. |
