In Hawaii, we mostly say "hello" just like everwhere else in the US.
Aloha is not used as a greeting among locals unless they have been working in the tourist industry.
The word "Aloha" is used everday, but not to say hello.
One of the other answers on here suggested "Hows-it?" and this term is imported to Hawaii from Northern Australia. There is a sort of an enclave of Aussies on the islands so they brought this term over with them. I have never heard it used on the islands except by tourist.
Ola, is also commonly used and it is Spanish but so are a good number of people on the islands. I hear this everyday
Kumasta- Is also a common greeting as 80% of the population on the islands is Filipino. In Haiku this would be the most common greeting other than "hello".
The rest you hear is from Baywatch Hawaii and old reruns of Hawaii Five-O. Book em Dano. ;)
Wocka wocka

Howzit! or Howzit Brah. or Howzit Bruddah. Aloha Brah is used a lot also among us locals who are born & raised here. Even 60-70 yr. old men say "Howzit" When we leave we say, "OK Brah" or " Kay Brah"

Aloha: The most common expression in the islands. It can mean hello and goodbye, welcome or farewell. It can also mean romantic affection or best wishes. Aloha is a general good feeling you will find everywhere on Maui!

Obviously... None of you live in Hawaii.
The correct way to say Hello in Hawaii is as follows:
Ho, Brah... Howzit? - or - Howzit Brah?
Goodbye is pronounced:
Shoots - or - Kay-den - or - Laters Brah - or - Bumbye
The usual greeting that I experience on a daily basis is:
"Hi Dave"
