E-mail.
Most cruise ships these days have internet access. I recently cruised with Royal Caribbean, and was able to use my Yahoo! e-mail any time I wanted to. For $0.50 per minute, of course. |

Well, I would wait a week until they come back from their cruise. If it's an emergency, make a shore-to-ship call, write them an e-mail, call their cellphone, etc. Use the technology we have nowadays! |

You would have to email. You can call the ship but it is really really expensive. You can look at the cruise lines FAQs usually and it will tell you about that kind of stuff. On my carnival cruise, you could get on the internet through a cafe type thing on the boat. It was very expensive, but you could buy blocks of time which I think is what most people did. other than that... have whoever you are trying to get ahold of to call you when they get to a port - they can probably use a pay phone and purchase an internationall calling card to call the states.. besides that -- well i like the message in a bottle idea! :) |

I guess email would be the best way, I'm sure these days the ships would have this as an easy access wireless mode...
if u want to send a letter by snail mail, u would have to contact the shipping company find out the next stop of the vessel, and send it to that port, addressed to the shipping company, with the attention of the passenger...that should get to either he or she..... |
