How easy is it to party on a cruise? |
my friends and i are thikning about senior spring break ideas and we really would like to go on a cruise. the only thing is, the u.s. laws apply and i was just wondering how easy it is, or isn't, to get away with partying when you're all only 17 or 18 years old haha..
would we be able to get into clubs?
or at least places to dance?
be able to drink?
those kinds of things.

You have to be 21 or older to go on a cruise alone, so you will only be allowed on board if you have a parent or guardian with you. They do have teen clubs on the ship, so getting into clubs is no problem. They always have dancing going on. To drink, no, it will be rough. My fiance & I went when we were 22 and we got carded just about every time we ordered a drink.
If you want to do all this, then just go to Mexico. |

If you want to drink you are better off going to an island where the drinking age is under 21. On the cruise your sea pass card is marked so they know whether you are allowed to drink and in order to buy drinks they need your sea pass card. You can get around this by having someone of age buy your drinks. But why go through the hassle, plus the drinks are kind of expensive. You would come off cheaper going to an island, buying your liquor at the grocery or liquor store and partying on your own. Trust me its a lot more fun. Also in the nightclub onboard they card after a certain time. I'm over 21 and have been carded a few times on cruises when trying to enter the club. |

im 16 and was on the carnival cruise and drank alcohol every night. they had a teen club with dancing and pretty much everyone had liquor in water bottles. i have tips if you need:) |

You need to be 21 on board, but you can consume alcohol in port. Just don't get so drunk that you miss the ship. Also set your watch to ships time. It isn't necessarily the same as local time in port. |

Just got back from a Carnival cruise today and it seemed like there were quite a few underage girls drinking...they dont ID you but they can. BUT you cant go on a cruise without your parents unless you are 21 or over.... |
