How much booze can you bring on board for a cruise on Princess.?

Show all answers

TINKERTOY ..... the 1 & only
You cannot bring alcoholic beverages on board Princess ships, EXCEPT each person age 21 or older CAN bring 1 bottle of wine or champaign on board for consumption in the cabin only. Here's the Princess policy from it's web site:

" We kindly request that you do not bring alcoholic beverages (other than wine and/or champagne) onboard for consumption. Alcoholic beverages that are purchased duty free from the ship's gift shop or at ports of call will be collected for safekeeping and delivered to your stateroom on the last day of the voyage. A member of our Security Staff will be at the gangway to assist with the storage of your alcoholic beverage purchases. "

This policy is the same as on all other cruise lines except NCL which does not permit any to be brought on board

None!

None. You could try to smuggle it on, but if they catch you, they will take it. They could also at their discretion deny you boarding with no refund.

all ships no matter what line you go on will let you buy on the ports you go too when they dock but they will search you bags and hold it till the end even if you buy from the duty free shoppes on board they have to hold it for you. when you get to your room look at the bulletin of the day they have drinks of the day, just don't buy the glasses to take home type drinks they charge more.

doktrgroove
I believe none. You have to buy theirs.

kimmer727
You cannot leagally bring any on board. You need to put it in your checked in luggage - do not carry it on the ship.
We always bring it on that way.

Julia S

xanaduloot

We have brought as much as 7 bottles of wine on-board, but not on our carry on luggage. We have never been questioned eather about it. If we were questioned, we would have told them that you can't GEt this kind on board and we are celebrating something.

This was in 2005. I don't know if they ex ray your luggage, but they do your carry on stuff. Last year, we brought on two bottles of wine, still no problem.
