MY HUSBAND AND I WENT ON ONE ABOUT A YEAR AGO. WE SPENT $600 ON BOARD. ALCOHOL AND PICTURES THEY SELL YOU THEY TAKE ON BOARD ARE EXPENSIVE. SODA IS EXPENSIVE AND YOU HAVE TO BUY .IT IT IS NOT INCLUDED. AT THE PORTS YOU STOP AT YOU CAN SPEND A COUPLE OF HUNDRED A DAY DEPENDING ON WHAT YOU DO. THE TICKETS FOR THE CRUISE WERE $1600.

Don't forget drinks! They are not included in the price, so definitely put money aside for that. Drinks are how cruises make most of their money.

A cruise is free. Extra stuff cost such as drinks, dancing lessons, shore outings, pictures, wine, water in bottles, dinner at the fancy restaurant. If it is your first cruise, you might want to just get what ever is in the ship for free. Ask questions first before you buy.
Make it limited. Also you do not have to tip at the end. You can put 0 on the tips at the end and carry the envelopes from the main desk and tip them individually as the cruise goes on. That is how we did it. Then you might get away with it for cheaper tipping.

This is a very hard question. The question I would ask is where is the cruise going, for how long, type of cabin, port of debarkcation and how many people in your family will be traveling. Once you have answered these questions, then you will have a better idea as to how much. You can check the website below. They show you the price for each cabin, not including tax and port fees. Depends on your current location and what kind of cruise you'd like to take. For instance, if it's the Caribbean, you'll need a passport. If not, then just air & transport and tipping money, etc. There are always affordable cruise packages available that includes transportation. Figure on spending anywhere from $3,000 to high $10,000.

I usually try and take out $7000.00 for any trip I go on, just in case something goes wrong.
