It will depend a great deal based on what you are looking for, what line you want, how long you want to go, etc.

For example, cunard has a lot of options for World Cruises, ranging from a few days to more than 100 days. So you are looking at a price range from under $1000 to more than $20,000 per person.

World cruises are great, but you want to be sure that you are using a good line. It is one thing to take a not so great ship for a few days, but when you are gone for several months, you want to enjoy the cruise. For something like this, a travel agent is something I wouldn't even question. I would never take the risk with a discounter site for something of this magnitude. An agent that works with this every day can be the difference between a wonderful experience and a true nightmare.

The price is going to vary quite a lot depending on several factors. For examle:

When are you traveling, where are you departing from, what kind of accommodations are you seeking, are you cruising straight through or stopping to spend time (overnight stays) in any of the ports, if so, where and how long...

Your best best is to find a travel agent who specializes in cruises. You want someone who knows several lines well and can offer solid advice.

Also price really depends on where you want your cabin... inside cabins cost less than outside ones and the price goes up if you looking for a suite.

It will be expensive anyway as it's a world cruise, but for the number of nights you will be on the ship, it is worth the money to get something you will be comfortable with.

Most travel agents may not provide a price on their websites due to the difference in price between cabins, number of nights and the itinerary. So it may be worth giving them a call and giving your exact requirements :o)
