I'm going for a holiday in Italy soon. I hear the the cigaretts are cheap there. Does anyone know how old you have to be to purchase them?

there's no limit of age to purchase cigarettes here in italy! even a child can do that! a packet of 20 cigarettes costs from 3.50 to 4.4 euros!!!

You may be able to get them on board, but you won't be able to bring them back into the states if you're not 18. Also you won't be able to smoke them on the ship.
There is also a limit on how much tobacco you can bring back. You don't want to try to go over that amount because there are stiff fines for doing so.
Also you don't want to sneak them with out the adults you are traveling with know. They are the ones that will be in trouble for breaking the law.

They dont enforce it. You could probably buy them at 12.
