You won't go to jail if you are caught bringing alcohol on board...

However if you're lucky it will only be confiscated. If you're not lucky you will be denied boarding if they catch you trying to bring your own beer on board.

Do so at your own risk.

Your going on a cruise. Don't be such a cheap skate.

How do you think they make their money? It's like buying candy at the movie theater. My suggestion if you want to drink without getting reamed is to forgo the beer, buy clear liquors when you are in ports and transferring to water-bottle to bring back on board. You can buy soft-drink mixers of use juices from the cafeteria.

How many beers do you think you will drink on a typical 7 day cruise? Maybe 2 or 3 a day? Smuggling a case of beer aboard in your suitcase is pretty obvious and it will get confiscated.

You are on a cruise. Spend the $3 on the beer. Enjoy yourself and do not worry about the cost of beer. Remember, you have to be at least 21 to drink on a ship.

You can pack it in your luggage but if it breaks then you have to spend a fortune getting laundry done. I have taken booze onship in my luggage (not carryon) but I would not even consider taking beer.

You can pack like a 6-pack in your dock checked through luggage and hope they don't randomly pick your luggage to screen and anything over that would be too obvious and checked. And despite what you have been told on other answers, you won't be arrested, they just take it out of your luggage and give it back at the end of the cruise.

As far as getting beer on while in the ports, it's virtually impossible as when you get back on the ship at ports, they screen the bags you have with you and don't check on any bags not accompanied by you and so they will find it and once again take it and give to you at the end of the cruise.

The basic answer to your question is you can probably get a few beers on board but it's not possible to get very much and so you'll have to buy beers onboard if you want to drink much. Sorry, but that's the bottom line.

You can try packing it in your luggage. Lock your luggage with TSA locks and keep your fingers crossed.

Send it to yourself In a friends name through the cruiseline as a "Suprise Aniversery Gift" to be deliverd /opened on ??? Day.
Good Luck.

Just pack them in your suitcase But i would bring liquor cause you will have to pack an awful lot of beer to last you

Mo the Great
Be careful especially if your going out of the country. When I cruised last summer they randomly checked luggage and you dont want to get caught and ruin the trip...cause you will go to jail.
