I'll be going on my first cruise next year, any suggestions or tips?

Pack warm weather clothing, you will be hot. Bring cash for spending, and if you are using a credit card call your company to make sure the card works where ever you are going. Liquor is very expensive on the ship, see if you can bring your own. I bought a bottle of rum on one of the islands and mixed my own drinks. Bring something formal to wear on the formal night. Bring smart casual clothing for dinner if there is a no shorts policy. Bring a camera for sure, not only for the destinations, but for the dolphins and flying fish you will definitely see while sailing. Binoculars are good too, sometimes when you have nothing to do it is fun to read a book and look out at see for a few hours with the warm sea air blowing in your hair.

You will have the time of your life and you will never forget it. Now you didn't say where you were going so I am going to guess the caribbean. Here is a quick bring list. Clothes your comfortable in. Comfortable shoes for lots of walking. Beach wear, Yellow highlighter for the things to do list and do stuff you wouldn't normally do like bingo or the shows at night, even the art auction, you will be surprised how enjoyable these different things are you don't have to stay if you don't like them. But the wonderful thing on a cruise is you get to try things at no cost that you normally would have to pay for. Bring a power strip or something to plug your chargers in. Definitely check out cruisecritc.com and review what other people write on the trip your taking and they have a special section for first time cruisers. Enjoy your going to have so much fun.

cruises are awesome. youll definitly have alot of fun. ive been on 8 total. with friends and family. (ps. im not old!) ships now have EVERYTHING, tons to do, even nightclubs! dont pack too much its a good tip, dont go cheap on a cruise, get a decent cruise and a decent ship.
--i definitly recommend royal caribbean. my favorite. best cruises by FAR. ( and i have tryed 3 other cruise lines)

for a first cruise i would do the caribbean, a 6 or 7 day western caribbean would be perfect. grand caymans, mexico and barbados is beautiful. i have also done a mexican riveria cruise, which is the west side of mexico in the pacific. cruise usually leave LA and goes along the coast of mexico, CABO is GORGEOUS.

Ecuador for sure....it is awonderful place to go, it has alot of places to visit, the people are so nice and helpful, and they try to make you feel at home, and there is alot of beautiful places to visit, and the night life, the place to party are so beautiful not only the quality of the places but the people that go there too........the beaches are clean beautiful and surrounded by hot people the culture is amazing and so diverse that you wont get tired of it......and for sure is alot safer and more beautil that honduras or peru, it is a wonderful place to live too and is warm and nice all the time.
please listen to me I am sure you are gonna love it. and I ma sure your family will too, becasue not only you will have fun but you will be sure that no one is gonna kidnap you or steal something from you.

My best advice would be to not go on a cruise. Go backpacking or something, you will have much more fun.
