I'm 22, single and i'd like to go alone on a cruise ship! Which one? |
I'm very good looking and social, but i dunno, for some reason, i'd just like to go alone somewhere i have never been and meet people! I'm looking for a cruise ship where there is a lot of adult ( 18-15) that way i know i can meet people of my age! While doing some research i found out that they charge you more of you go single, so i may change my mind and ask a friend to come with me.
Neways, what cruise will fit me?
i'm looking for:
-fun ( clubbing n stuff) with people of my age (18-25)
-something cheap
Also, i can't swim lol! I wonder how it's going to go if there is titanic thing happenning lol! Neways, i havent bought a ticket yet but i'm decided to go this summer! I have my finals tomorrow and after that, i think i might book something so leave me your suggestions!!! Additional Details do they have, let's say, and place where single can meet and stuff?? It's not that im desperate or smthg... |

1. You don't have to be 25 to cruise alone. The 25 age requirement is for when you are traveling with underage people.
2. Be prepared to pay for double occupancy unless you get one of the deals for singles such as: http://www.vacationstogo.com/ticker.cfm?r=0&jpw=107
3. Most of the mainstream cruise lines will fit your requirements. Carnival, Princess, Royal Caribbean etc - will all have people your age. Carnival will probably be your best bet, it's got a reputation as a party cruise and are usually the most inexpensive. |

I suggest you go through a travel agent! Some cruise lines will allow folks your age to travel without someone older, and others will not. Also, there are different rates for going single. It is, I believe, always a higher fee, but the add-on ranges from modest to very high, and that is also something your travel agent can help you with. Very few ships have cabins for single folks -- Costa does, by the way! Don't worry about not being able to swim! You can still enjoy the hot tubs and shallow ends of the pools, and in the EXTREMELY unlikely event of an emergency everybody wears a life jacket anyway. Also, don't worry about meeting people -- all you have to do is go to the nightclub, and you will certainly run into folks your age! And -- HAVE A BLAST! |

Carnival is usually less expensive than Royal. Both are good if you pick the right location. You'll want to go to Mexican Riviera or Caribbean. You may want to pick a 4 or 5 day cruise. Shorter cruises tend to be more of a party atmosphere. There's a Baja cruise from LA area that attracts a lot of young people. Be sure to book when colleges are out.
Cruise cabins are based on 2 people occupying the cabin so if you go alone be prepared to pay double. The daily activity paper that is delivered to your cabin will let you know if they are having a singles get together. However, the clubs on board at night are a place to meet people. |

Okay, I have been on many of these cruises and cruise lines, and it suprises what people are recommending to you. Dont go on princess alone, you would be bored to death. If you are gonna go on Princess, go with someone else too. Royal Caribbean is pretty good too for your age. And the lady that said Carnival's ships are "apparently" "party" ships obviously hasnt been on one and is just listening to another persons opinion, not her own. I have been on many Carnival and all the others and I definitely enjoy Carnival. People think its party, but you can tell those are the people that have never been on a Carnival cruise, so no need to listen. They are FUN ships, full of fun, its not a "party" ship.. although it does have parties like ever otherr cruise ship, that is not their main focus.... |

definitely book with Royal Caribbean or Carnival! They will fit your age needs, especially on a summer cruise...as others have mentioned, choose an itinerary to the caribbean or mexican riviera...and they offer "singles" meet and greets at certain bars on certain nights of the cruise...Although I would still suggest bringing a friend to save money on your stateroom..
do you know what port you want to leave from? or for how many days you want to go?

I would recommend Princess Cruise
I was on a Princess Cruise one year ago. There were lots of teenagers just like me. I went to the teen club about 3 times because there were so many other things I wanted to do. At the teen place they have different games (air hockey, football, and a bunch of other stuff), music (new stuff, don't worry). Everything on Princess is kind of free, they don't force you to do anything. There are more pools then you want to count, putting course, golf simulator, entertainment (broad way, comedians, musicians, magicians....), parties every night...
You will enjoy yourself unless you go with the ultimate purpose of being bored lol
If you have any further question, you can post it on uCruiser forum http://www.ucruiser.com/ I'm willing to help :)
