has anyone had any particular trouble with this cruise line or ship regarding their size? i'm also interested in hearing any tips any plus size people might have including size of chairs, what's appropriate to wear to the main dinning room, and any excursions that went good or bad involving weight. i'm in my early 20's, 5 ft. 10 in. and a size 20/22. please please please, any feedback would be great! |

You won't have any problems with Carnival. There are people of all sizes and ages on their ships. That is what makes them so fun. You can do as little or as much as you want on the cruise. I think you will be pleasantly surprised how well you fit in. The usually have one or two formal nights in the dining room, which you will want to dress nicer, otherwise, just no shorts or jeans. If you want to dress more casual, they also have the buffet, which is open all the time. Bring the type of clothes that make you feel comfortable, and you will have a great time. |

hey i am the same boat well on the plus size thing but yeah dont worry i have been on 16 cruises and there is still wiggle room on the chairs and stuff like that!!!!!!!!!!!!! HAVE FUN!!!! |

I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH ANY CRUISE LINES BECAUSE OF MY PLUS SIZE (SIZE 16). I KEEP UPO WITH EVERYONE AND ALWAYS ENJOYED MY TRIP. IN REGARDS TO WHAT TO WEAR IT DEPENDS ON WHAT YOU WOULD CONSIDERED FORMAL WEAR TO ME WHILE ON A CRUISE SHIP I USUALLY WEAR NICE SLACKS WITH A REALLY DRESSY SHIRT OR A KNEE LENGHT DRESS WITH NICE SHOES HAVE FUN RELAZ YOU ARE ON VACATION |

I was a size 20 on most of my cruises and never had any trouble with chairs or anything. I always dressed well and wore what everyone else wore. For formal wear, sometimes I wore a long dress, and sometimes velvet slacks with a pretty silk jacket. I really don't think you will have any trouble at all. On excursions, I kept up with all of them and did snorkeling, bike riding, walking, the whole bit. My size did not slow me down and I was much older then you are. Since last year, I have now lost a bunch of weight and I'm now a size 12. I've been on 8 cruises, all with Princess. |
