I've been on three cruises (next time try the 'mexican riveria'). And usually they give you a 'credit card' which everything you buy on the ship will be charged, then a bill sent to you after the cruise. They didn't tell me this and on my first cruise I went crazy! And anything you buy in the bahamas is bought with the cash you bring. So it's pretty much up to you how much you want to spend and buy. Yeah food is included. I believe drinks are too, but not alchohol.

When you arrive they take your luggage, so it's in your room when you get there. Cruises are probably different depending on the company. I used Royal Caribean.

When you get there you register and what not. Then you aboard the ship and and kind of explore. On the Mexican Riviera cruise, they had a luau on the top deck. So we got some pina cooladas. Then they call everyone and do a drill, incase anything happens you know where to go for a life boat. And you take off. By this time it was night time. And the port is lit up when you take off.

be sure and get to the port early and wear comfortable shoes and sun glasses and have a bottle of water. you will most likely have to wait in line for along time, and its hot!. we limited ourselves to 100. 00 a day . we didnt buy alot of stuff because we were afraid we would be over weight on our luggage for the flight home. almost all food is included but there will be 2 or 3 that you will have to pay. it will be probably 20. oo per person plus tip. go to royal caribbeans web site or cruisecritic.com. all your questions will be answered. have fun

I went on Royal Caribbean to Jamaica, Grand Cayman, Cozumel. Most everything is included, food, drinks, etc. do you don't need alot of cash on the ship. If you want to sign up for excursions or for spa treatments, you charge it to your "ship credit card" which you carry around with you for the whole trip. Advice: Sign up for spa treatments as soon as you get on the ship as they fill up fast, also on days where you are in port doing an excursion or just sight seeing, get to the gang plank very early in the morning when they first start letting you disembark, you will beat the crowds from your ship and other ships to the main attractions and get taxis quickly. Then you can get back to the ship earlier and enjoy the ship while it is in port without all the mad crowds. Also, try and upgrade to a balcony or window cabin, the interior ones are kind of claustrophobic.
