Alright, so tomorrow I'm leaving for a cruise in NY. I live in Cali.
Anyway my dad, mom, me (17 years old, guy by the way) and my younger brother 13 is going as well. Our family isn't really "close" or "tight" we fight a lot, so I really don't know why we are going, but we are, so that's that.
Anyway, I don't want to go. Last time we all went it was about 3 years ago and it was like a 11 day cruise and it sucked. All we did the whole time was fight...and I really didn't have any fun.
I hate these cruises, because there is nothing for me to ever do. None of my friends are coming with me, and really do I want to hang out with my 13 year old brother?
Like my parents will have themselves, my brother makes friends really easily, plus he's a kid so I'm sure they'll be other kids there.
But I'm not going to find anyone my age....what should I do? |

About 3 years ago you were 14. I think you'll find the girls even more interesting on this trip.
To avoid fighting, tell your parents where (on the ship) you are going to be, but stay out of the cabin and there should be a teen center. The problem with cruises out of NY there are always about 4 days at sea where you aren't at a port. |

I agree with the person above but also if you go with the mentality that you will have an awful time then you more than likely will. I am sure there will be someone you will meet and can hang out with. If there is fighting then just leave the room and find something else to do. You might actually have the time of your life. HAVE FUN or at least try to!!! |

heyy im 17 to and have been on like 8 cruises and just wanna let you know i promise you will find kids on this cruise that are your age both boys and girls. It is during a school break so there is going to be a ton of people your age and so much to do. once you make your friends on the cruise your gonna end up spending more time with them then your family and you will forget about all the fighting. So just relax and have a reallyy fun timee =) |

really, you need to make the best of it. by your attitude no wonder you wont meet anyone your own age, since im sure you will just be moody and sit in your room on in a corner and not talk to anyone. So with that said, get out there and be friendly with the other kids. |

A lot of cruises have teen clubs. But im sure youll find something to do. Bring your ipod and cell and stuff and chill in the hottub. |
