I'm going on a cruise ship on Oct.22 but i'm terrified of ships,ever since i saw Titanic?

You really have nothing to worry about - you'll do a mandatory life boat drill within a hour of the ship sailing. There are also more than enough life boats - unlike the Titanic.

yea just if you hear the alarm go off,..... get next to the life boats ASAP!!! so if they run out of the life boats your *** will already be on one. They are pretty fun, just when you go over waves and your walking you can be tilted and fall into the walls, its pretty funny actually... My parents both rolled out of there bed when a big wave came, it was hallarious. And if a tusunami hits, then your just f**ked.. it will swallow the boat. Did you watch poisiden? i wouldnt before you go. Good luck and just have fun.

To be honest with you, cruise ship incidents aren't that uncommon. For example, the Princess Crown tilted 15 degrees and injured a bunch of people, the Princess Star caught on fire, and the Norwegian Dawn was hit by a rogue wave. But, those things will more than likely not happen to you. Cruises are definetely worth the risk. You will love it. I did and I was worried about the same things you were and now I go all of the time. Have fun tomorrow!

Don't be scared. It's been a very long time since a cruise line has lost a ship to an iceberg. Cruise lines are a very safe way to travel. If you are traveling on HAL I know that you are either going to Mexico for 10-day Caribbean for 7-days or Europe for 10-days. If this is the line you are traveling on don't worry. There are no hurricanes, storms or icebergs in those general areas at this time. All will be fine. There are more than enough life boats on all ships now and the navigation devices are much more effective than they were in 1912 (almost 100 years ago!). If the cruise line is showing Titanic in the movie theather while you are on the ship I suggest don't go and see it. Posiden either. They tend to show those movies for fun.

i am not sure if u have an actual question, but dont worry cruise ships have enough life boats as passengers plus some. and unless ur going to alaska, i wouldnt worry about iceburgs

It would be extremely for a cruiseship to be affected by a tsumani. As for other incidents, in the scheme of things with all the ships going all year round, actual incidents are pretty rare. I've been on nine cruises so far and nothing major has happened. We did have one passenger accidentally drop her toddler over a gangway in Ensenada (kid was rescued) but that was because she wasn't being careful.
The ships are required to have enough life jackets and lifeboats for the passengers.
Just practice common sense (as to alcohol consumption, etc) and pay attention at the life boat muster drill on the first day.
