I'm stumped, Caribbean Cruise Confusion?

I've been reading that you have to have someone at least 21 and the person i am planning to go with would be 21, but the thing is I'm not. What if your married, do other rules apply?

All of the cruise lines except Carnival require that at least one (1) person in each cabin be age 21 or older. Carnival requires that at least one person be at least age 25. You must meet the age requirement as of the beginning date of your cruise; that means when you show up at the pier to check in and board the ship.

The cruise lines make exceptions to this rule if you are married and in those cases you must bring proof of marriage to the check in at the pier; your marriage certificate. So if you and "someone" are married just bring proof of marriage.

This is from Royal Caribbean's site: " No guest under the age of twenty-one (21) will be reserved in a stateroom unless accompanied by an adult twenty-one (21) years of age, or older. This age limit will be waived for minor children sailing with their parents or guardians in adjacent staterooms or under-aged married couples (proof of marriage is required). "

Then there is one other requirement that you must meet if you are under age 21 and traveling with someone other than a parent. You MUST have a statement signed by your parents granting you permission to go on the cruise with the person you will be traveling with. The cruise line will tell you exactly how the permission letter must be prepared and it must be notarized.

I suggest that you read the age policies on Royal Caribbean; the same applies to most other cruise lines: http://www.royalcaribbean.com/search/processSearch.do;jsessionid=00000vEk1tBB3EmnwCPX1Y8Kj2O:12hdhu6tq?ip_server=prdiphrase-unstruct-new222.dmz.rccl.com%3A200&ip_text=age+policy&btn_search.x=31&btn_search.y=5

Each cruise line has different age requirements. You either need to tell us the cruise line - or better you to to the cruise lines website and look it up under FAQ.

As long as one person per stateroom is of minimum age, I see no problem. I'd contact the cruise line directly to get a definitive answer. The sooner you do this, the sooner you can relax and starting looking forward to the best vacation of your life.

There is only one way to get a 100 % correct answer, contact the cruise line directly. Go to their web page and it will give you a contact number or page. Plus, You want any and all answers in writing. Your planning to spend a lot of money, get every answer in writing!!!!!!!
