if u book with carnival cruise lines u can book a catagory 1a for about 1 and 1/2 times the dbl occ rate and check into a senior rate code cpse or if you r a vetern cpm2

You didn't say what cruise you would like to do..but.
Carnival often offers rates so low that anyone can afford it.
Inside cabin for a week..base fare as low as 399.00
Double that
Add tax about 200
That is a thousand dollars for a week cruise.
Add about 400 or so for a balcony.
Your local travel agent can let you know when the best deals are to where you want to go.
Holland America use to offer (haven't inquired in a while) a single rate where they would get you a roommate and not charge you extra if they can not.

You can always choose a lower priced cruise line like Norwegian or Carnival. If you want a premium line you can sail with Holland America Line. They offer the Single Partner Program. You will end up paying the regular fare for a 2 person cabin and if another man signs up for the program then you are paired up as roommates. If no other takers book the program than you have got yourslef a single cabin at the double rate which is fantastic.
