Here are the gratuities you might want to pay in addition...
- Room service. The RCI menus say tipping is "at your discretion" but I'd say a dollar or two each time is appropriate
- Tour guides if you go on any excursions
- Porters at the pier, if you don't carry your own luggage
- Tips for exceptional service ... totally at your discretion and not expected beyond what's pre-paid

FYI, as Tinker said, 15% is automatically added at the bar, but RCI also adds an "additional tip" line when you sign. A little bold, but you can use it if a bartender is really good.

Hope that helps.

PREPAID GRATUITIES DO COVER ALL REQUIRED TIPPING: If you prepaid gratuities you took care of your room steward, waiter, assistant waiter, and head waiter. Whenever you buy a drink on ship, alcoholic or soft drink, a 15% gratuity will be added to each tab at that time. So you will be tipping as you drink. Even though you have prepaid to tip all of the appropriate people, you can add more if you want to recognize great/exceptional service. When you get each drink order the 15% is added automatically but you can add still more if you want.

When you arrive at the port the people who take your luggage to put it on the ship should be tipped, like $1. a bag, because they do not work for the cruise line, they work for the port. They take your bag to the ship's door to be loaded by ship's personnel who then carry it to your cabin door.

Since you prepaid the gratuities, you are covered for all of the staff. As someone esle said, if you get exceptional service, you can always give a little more but it is not required.

Of course, you will be paying the 15% tip automatically when buying soda or drinks. That is not covered by the prepayment. It is added to your shipboard account.

I agree with everyone above pre-paying gratuties covers tips to everyone on the ship..in bar it will be added automatically......but maximum people pay extra tips to their room attendant if they like their work....you will get a special carrd from your room attendant on the last day of your cruising, where u can pay and give feedback to her/his services.

Well the required tiping has been done but youll still have to use comon sence and tip some one if theyre do something special for you. But dont overdo it or youll spent much of your dollars for nothing. So my advice is to use common sence but you are not forced to tip any one. Johan

your fine, except if someone does an exceptional job and you really want to show your appreciation. We've been on several cruises and one time we had the best room steward and so we gave her a little extra. She really went above and beyond!

ANA
If you have prepaid there is no need to tip anyone, it will all be taken care of.
Have a great cruise
