If I were you - I'd find my own summer clothing & take a couple of outfits that I really like - solid colors that you could mix & match. Of course a bathing suit is a must!
THEN ... on the cruise - you can buy some new things at the shops there.
In the Caribbean - most of the islands have better pricing than we have in the USA (don't know if you're from the USA or not).
And do certainly check out local stores before you go. You might be surprised at summer things being on their lowest clearance price ever!

Want a hint? One thing I never cruise without is a surge protector with numerous outlets! Seems outlets in the room are less than plentiful.

Thrift Stores are non-seasonal and should have an array of summer items as well as winter items.

In January the resort collections start coming out. Before then it is hard to find summer clothing. I would check ebay or overstock.com if you have trouble finding items in the store. Have fun on your cruise.
