I took a carnival cruise on Nov. 26th 2006. It was a 4 day cruise that left out of Port Canaveral. I meet one of the employees from London who was absolutely wonderful. Unfortunately, I don't remember his name, and I would like to get in touch with him.. but don't know how. Any ideas?

Ha!!! Kimo knows not what he speaks!!! Seasoned cruiser. Met my now ex-husband on one....he was a security guard. Spending personal time with a guest is not always forbidden. When we were dating,(and everyone, including the captain, knew me and knew it was not a fling!) I would take cruises and he would get special papers from the Staff Captain and Hotel Mgr. to stay in my cabin and dine with me at open seating meals. "Casual Fraternization" is taboo...they are just really careful to not get caught!!! But to answer the question, they usually sign contracts for a certain length of time, spend several months working and then fly home for up to 3 months before either returning to that ship or another in the cruise line. After the contract, they can sign up again, or apply to another company. Quite honestly, the relationships between crew and guests are usually only for the duration of the cruise. You may luck out and cruise with him again, but a lot of these guys have wives back in their native country!!!! CAREFUL!!!! The cruise line is not going to give out contact info and chances are they are not going to pass on your contact information. My best advice, if you are determined to meet him, is if at all possible, be at the ship's berth when it docks where-ever you cruised from and watch for him to disembark. When ships are in port, a lot of the crew are able to go on land. |

Call Carnival directly. Tell them what ship and sail date you were on. You will also need to let them know what position he was working. It will not matter if he has transferred to another ship at this point becuase they will have his current contract on file. They may not give you information to contact him, but could give your email or number for him to contact you if that is not against their company policy. |

Write a letter to the Carnival Cruise Lines stating what ship and date you sailed on. If you think he's wonderful and want to date him you could get him fired.Fraternization with passengers which is strictly forbidden. |
