Each cruise line has a key demographic that they try to appeal to.
If you are older and prefer a more formal dining experience and 'easy' activities (Bingo and guest lectures), try Holland America or Princess.
If you prefer an easy going vacation, and aren't a 'foodie', try Norwegian.
If you are 30-60 or so and like an active vacation (hiking glaciers, kayaking with whales, rock climbing) try Royal Caribbean. |

Actually every cruise line generally offer great tours. Depending on what you are looking for you can find it. I was on Holland American and despite it "reputation for being for an "older" crowd, I enjoyed the cruise very much. They do charge $10 per day per person but you can raise or lower it as you like and the staff was awesome. However, just choose what works for you. By the way all Cruise lines use the same train, they just have different cars. |

You need to check with a travel agent or a cruise line because I don't think they cruise before June. The weather isn't good enough. |

Please don't take Norwegian! My husband and I went on the Norwegian Spirit (I know every boat is different but hear me out...) You pay automatic gratuity so the staff has NOTHING to work for. They are rude, ignorant and if you don't drink acohol by the bucket, you aren't getting a drink! Also, the food is not that great. My husband and about 30 other passengers got food poisoning (and please, no one tell me it's Norwalk - it was confirmed that it was the food) and I got bitten by bed bugs (they put the bedspread on the floor at night for turndown service). If you want any more info on why not to cruise NCL, please contact me! |

this depends on how much you are willing to spend. Norwegin cruise is kinda like the greyhound of cruise ships, but if you want complete enjoyment, no holds back, go for the Royal Caribian cruise lines. They have a few ships that go to AK. There's the inside passage cruise that'll take you through southeast alaska, or there is the one that goes up to Seward/Anchorage. Both are beautiful trips and so worth going! |

This is a difficult question to answer and you will undoubtedly get answers from fans of all the cruise lines.
To better answer your question...what is your age group? What types of activities do you enjoy? Etc....
Princess offers amazing pre/post cruise tours...they own their own lodges...so you are with Princess from start to finish...
But keep in mind that all cruise lines have good and bad about them.
Find yourself a good travel agent that can help you too...
Good Luck....
