I am trying to book a cruise, but I am having a hard time booking because we have a family of 5.?

Every website I look at has a cabin max. of 4! Does anyone know of a cruise line that will fit a family of 5 (2 adults/3 children) in one cabin without having to pay for a suite?

Carnival Destiny will book 5 - no problem unless the ship is full.
Good luck.

I think most "family" cabins are a queen bed with 2 bunks that drop down from the ceiling. Not much room for anything else, even walking around. Try talking to a travel agent that specializes in cruises. The price should be the same, regardless of how you book it.

Good luck & have fun.

Not that i know of.
With five people you need two rooms or a suite. I have gone with 3 people, thats cramped. And 4 people was way over crowded, 2 adults, 2 12 year olds.

I would suggest two rooms, try getting a family room.

No. Instead, try getting a bigger room, maybe one that has a separate living and bedroom area. That way the parents get the bedroom and the kids get the living room.

NCL has great rooms to meet every family size. Check them out.

What you need to do is select a cruise and ship that has a family sized cabin. Many Royal Caribbean ships have these type cabins that accommodate up to six (6) people. Take a look at this RC web site that describes the cabins and ships that they are on:
http://www.royalcaribbean.com/findacruise/cabinclass/cabinTypes/cabinType/home.do;jsessionid=0000DzrMQJJHZE1qgsVG3LmG4_t:12hdhu6tq?br=R&cabincls=O&cabinType=FF

Most cabins are rather small for 4 people; they are generally under 200 square feet. These family cabins are over 300 square feet and provide the type room that you will need for your family. My suggestion is to select a cruise itinerary and then call Royal Caribbean (click on the link on the web page I gave above that says: "RC Certified Vacation Planner" and their number is listed or you can leave a number for them to call you.). Then you can be sure to get a family cabin and also know exactly how much it will be. They will handle all of your reservation by phone and then if you want to manage it on line you can do that by simply logging into the RC web site and entering your reservation number.

These people specialize in cruise vacations. I use Claire for all my cruises (7 so far) and she is wonderful. They have a physical office here in Va Beach and they are fully committed to finding you exactly what you want for the best price.

Though I cruise Royal Caribbean, there are other lines that have regular cabins that sleep 5 such as the Disney Cruiseline which has rooms with the queen bed (twins put together) a pullout queen sofa and a murphy bed. (Disney is running kids at 50% special right now too). A travel agent can also help you work out which would be cheapest, to do that or get two cabins with a connecting door.

Hope this helps! The kids will love whichever one you pick!
