I have a question about Carnival Cruises and what is involved in the cost that you pay. PLEASE HELP?

We are getting married in September of this year. We want to take a cruise for our honeymoon. This will be our first time going on a cruise for the both of us. I have been looking into some Carnival Cruise packages and what not. But my question is what is all included on the price that you pay per person. A friend of mine said that when she and her husband went on a cruise that everything was included in their price they paid except for the alcohol. Is this true for all of their cruises or for the special packages?? PLEASE SOME HELP IS REALLY NEEDED THIS WAY??

We are taking a Carnival Cruise in April and I also have been looking into all that is included. From what I have Learned all of your food is included, but Drinks are not. Most ships have certain meal times, but also offer other options. The one we are going on has many Casual restaurants and a 24 hour pizza bar. I hope some of this was helpful. Congratulations on the Marriage and I hope you enjoy your cruise.

my buddy just got back from cancun and he paid 900 for the cruise and 1600.00 in Alcohol freaked me out!!!!
you can get a price on some that are all inclusive but be sure they cover everything. they cost more up front but i believe its the best way to go. congrats and happy Honey moon!!!!

There are wedding packages available, look into that! For sure alcoholic drinks are not included... they are $5-$7 ouch! Tips are not included either.. they bill them to your room automatically.. they vary per cruise line... but typically $10-$15 per day per person.. consider this when you are looking at the price. While it may have just been by chance my experience on Carnival was not so pleasant... it was dirty.. and the whole ship reminded me of a 80's movie... food was nothing to get excited about.. I think vacationstogo.com has got info on wedding packages! Good Luck!!

Be aware of the following costs not included in the fees quoted on the websites...

1. Port taxes and fees, can add up to over $75/per person (pp)
2. Tips. $10/pp/per day ($70 pp for 7 day cruise)
3. Bar drinks, $4-12 per drink
4. Sodas. Buy the Soda Fountain Card. Flat fee for you can drink soda by the glass. If you want the can, then $1.75 per can.
5. On-board photos. About $20 per sheet.
6. Sushi and coffee bar are extra
7. Bingo cards run about $35
8. Spa services from $40-200.
9. Shore excursions. From $40 and up.
10. If you drive your car to the port, then parking fees at the port. $70 per week in Galveston. Check with your local cruise port authority.
11. Also plan money for porter tips and taxi fees.
12. Stay away from the sodas/snacks in the room. Billed like a mini bar in a hotel.

You can get on-board and not spend any extra money and have a great time.

A good way to manage your money is to put up a cash deposit instead of a credit card. The cruise line will not allow you to charge any more once you exceed your deposit.

First get a carnival catalougue or search the web. In there you should find a whats included section.
Normaly you pay for: The cruise for the selected route, ship and cabin. Almost all food (except one or more pay extra resturant/s with better food). All the enterteinment except bingo and casino and simular. Some cruiselines include tips and taxes some dont.

Whats NOT included: Transports (if you dont have a fly and cruise package and or a transfer ticket). All drinks exceps some soft drinks (like juice) and water. Spas and casino plays and simular. Some cruiselines lets you pay extra for tips and taxes, check with your travel agent. If not included except to pay at least 10 dollar per day in tip plus 15% on ewery bar note. All of the organized shore excursions that you choice to go on.

Some cruise lines have beverage packets that they sell that includs all the stipulated brands and drink that you can drink. If its a good deal depends on how much you drink of course.

Look on the brouchure or on carnivals web after their honeymon package. Some of them includes a dinner at "the captains table" and that your chance to make every question you ever had about cruising to the man at the helm or one or more of his/hers? high rank officers. Johan

That is correct, everything but alcohol is included. Watch out, because it seems easy to just add drinks to your bill, but it really adds up over the trip. With 15% tip. On the 2nd to last day of the cruise, there will be a bill placed under your door. It will list everything you bought throughout the entire cruise. This will include the tips, which they automatically add on, $10 per person per day. Also something to know is on the tv in the stateroom at any time during the cruise you can check your "card", for all the puchases you have made.

Enjoy your cruise!

What Carnival Ship are you going on?

Carnival is a great ship, I have no complaints!!

My husband & I cruised Carnival in November. All of the meals, buffet and main dining room were included, as well as ice water, tea, coffee and juice. Sodas, bottled water and alcohol were all extra, you had to order these items at the bar. However, our room had a fridge so I guess you could bring your own back from port depending on your stops. My Aunt used the fridge with her sodas on her cruise to Alaske, Mexico might be a little different. The supper club on the ship charged a per-person reservation fee, but nothing extra for the meal. I do highly recommend the supper club for a special meal, just for the 6 star service. Be sure to make your reservation early, they don't overbook the restaurant, so you have very attentive waitstaff and intimate dining.
My advice is have fun, but spend carefully. We were able to check our ship account balance everday from the TV in our stateroom. That's a way to keep yourself in check and not go "overboard" (Sorry bad joke).
Don't forget your tips, you'll be expected to tip the maiter'd, your room steward and your waiter/waitress
Have fun and congrats!!
