I heard that there are places to get some really cheap cruises

Some for less than $200 to like the Bahama's - anybody know where people are getting these?

Cruises that are that cheap are most likely "last minute tickers" from vacationstogo.com It's a really great site to get great deals for last minute cruises. What happens is when the cruise has unsold rooms, the cruise line is willing to get rid of them for a really good disocunt/price, which is why these last minute tickers are a great way to book a cruise. If you're flexible in when you can go on a cruise, definitely use vacationstogo.com to book your cruise. Just keep i mind that a cruise that will only cost $200 probably wont be more than a 4 night cruise.

Hope this helps & good luck!

It also depend on the time of year. September and October are great months since it is hurricane season, cruise lines offer graet discounts. Late September, if your dates are flexible are the most discounted rates. I am going four days to bahamas on the Imagiantion for $250.00 including Port charges and taxes. If your travel consist of two people I recommend to wait two to three weeks prior to departure to buy tickets. However take into consideration that discounted cabins are not the best accomodations. If price is the most important factor then go for it. As far as where to buy, any travel website will offer basically the same price. I use Yahoo travel or Orbitz.com
Good luck!

You post what low fare cruises you find on other sites and then travel agency quotes come poring in. For example I searched for the Carnival Valor for Oct. 5th and booked with an agency from cruisecompete. Travelocity was quoting me around 1600 where as the agency from cruisecompete quoted me 1200. That was a savings of 400. So find a cruise that you like somewhere around your price point and go from there.

I bought some discount cruise cards that give you a 3night/4 day Bahama cruise for $149 plus a bunch of other perks. I went last year and took the whole family - we had a great time and the food was awesome. E-Mail me if you want and I have some extras (they offered a 2 for 1 last year), or I can get you my agents email address and you can get them through him.

You are looking for last minute cruises, and they are very inexpensive. i live in South Florida, so I catch them about 2ce per year. Cruises.com often has good deals, but the best deals are on priceline (name your price and they find you a cruise) Also, check with the cruise lines themselves about a month before you want to go, they often offer last minute discounts.

Travelzoo.com finds the best deals in travel and posts them weekly. Add yourself to their mailing list. You will be surprised at what you can get through them!
