I need to cancel my cruise. Will I get my money back?

Your travel agent should be able to help you. My sister and I had to cancel a cruise last fall when she became ill and needed surgery. The insurer required both of us to fill out some detailed forms, and have medical statements completed by the doctor. With my sister's illness there was no question at all about her inability to travel. I was not ill, of course, but the insurance we always buy covers travel companions. Whether your doctor will complete a form saying you CANNOT travel may be an issue, but that is something you need to take up with the doctor. And we got a refund of everything except, of course, the insurance premium.

You should contact your travel agent that is what they are there for. If they will not help you get the process started then on your insurance policy you will have a phone number where you can start a claim.
This is really a hard question to answer. Depends on when your cruise is. If you are within 7 days then you are in 100% penalty. The cruise has to be canceled with the cruise line and then you submit the papers to the insurance and the refund from the insurance is non-refundable portion.
If you are prior to 7 days you will receive 50% back from the cruise line and then what you do not receive from them is what you file with insurance. You need to make sure that hand pain is something that is covered. Your doctor will have forms to fill out. It is a process, but the insurance companies are good to pay.
There are really a lot of factors that nobody here can really answer because there are a lot of things that would really depend on what the correct answer to this questions is. You really need to contact your travel agent.
Your pain must be really bad to cancel your vacation instead of delaying your therapy 1 week.

If you bought travel insurance you should get your money back, if not, then you might have a bit of a problem. Just give the cruise line a call and see what they have to say.

The cruise line has a cancellation policy that allows you to get a refund of all money you paid if you cancel 60 to 70 days befoore your cruise. Then if you have to cancel within that 70 days there is another option that will allow ou to get a 50% refund. Then if you cancel with just a few days of the cruise you get a 25% refund and if you do not show you do not get a refund. You can either go to the Carnival web site or call cannival and they will tell you exactly what you will get back, based on when your cruise departs.

If you bouth travel insurance either through the cruise line or a private provider then your policy will state what is covered if you must cancel for medical reasons.

Depends on insurance sold. if you are close to departure date, some insurances only reimburse 50%. A long way out the cruise line refunds alll money.

If you bought trip insurance, you should get your money back. Carnival is good about giving everything you have put down, including the deposit back.

Just call them.
