Reasonable question that you ask. But there are some unanswered questions, however (I am Owner of a Travel Agency):
1- Do you have a proposed departure and return date in mind? (It will make a difference in availability)
2- Do you have a Travel budget in place? (By Travel budget, I mean air/cruise only. Depending on what your budget is will determine if it is doable.)
3- Do you have up-to-date Travel documents?
Minor issues for sure, yet important in that once resolved it will truly simplify the search for the type of Travel itinerary you have in mind. We did that for our first cruise in 2002. Royal Caribbean did it then, I just checked their web-site but it's down for maintenance (the website, not the cruise). It was also the cheapest trip we've taken. For an 11 day cruise, all air fares (from Midwest) and transport from the airport it was $1,100. We were really worried about the 5 days at sea coming back, but it was great. They had tons of things to do all day, something for everyone. I had brought 3 books, didn't get to any of them!

The question is WHICH islands?
If you're talking about the Hawai'ian Islands Princess has an itinerary that is round trip to Hawai'i from LA.
If you're talking about some type of West Coast coastal cruise that's round trip from LA, none of the major cruise lines offer such an itinerary.
You can take round trip itineraries to Mexico as well. But that is your only other option for a round trip from LA.
Either way I suggest talking with a travel agent that specializes in cruises. Cruise Planners at www.mycruiseplanner.net 888-286-9827 is an excellent option. They offer the same sailings and specials as the online travel sites and the cruise lines, but they don't charge any service fees. |

You will find reviews on cruise lines and their ships on www.onevacationclub.com. You will also be able to find prices for cruises on all the major cruise lines, including cabin type. Entertainment and type of cruises can be found as well. |
