Why did you give them money in the first place if you won it? Well, if it were me, I would go along with it. Even after paying, you're going on a cruise for 1/8 the price! That's pretty good.

Well, it seems as though you have been scammed. Very little possibility that you will get your money back. The BBB does not scare these scammers since the BBB is only for a locality such as your city.

Just hope that you have learned your lesson for future scam attacks and that this one did not cost you a large amount of money.

The main thing to remember is that you have not won anything if it costs you any money to claim the prize. Also, if you did not specifically enter a contest or a lottery, you just had your name picked out of the phone book or some other address book.

I won one, along with a discounted trip to Orlando and a place in Mexico, I gave them my info, then I got online to find out what it really was. It turned out it was a deal with time shares, and the ship was this tiny ship I would never put my family on. The Orlando hotel was run down, and the one in Mexico was no where near the beach, and I forgot, there was a deal for Vegas also, but all casinos I would never stay at. I ended up calling them back and it took 2-3 weeks for my credit card to be reimbursed. I'm not doing that again. If it seems to be too good, then it probably is.

your going to get nothing.

Usually, if you win something, you don't have to pay for it! I would be very careful. Checking with the BBB would be a good idea before you dish out anymore cash on what could be a scheme.

This scam has been around for years. There's one scam about a cruise to Bermuda, but it is some little short hours-long cruise around that area and then the rest of the time you are in a seedy hotel. This was on 60 Minutes sometime in the 90s. You get sent a Federal Express package, COD, just to get info on how to book a short cruise and you are expected to pay for the airfare, but only through the travel company on the form.

I suggest that you read the fine print before you continue dishing out money because your "gift" might turn out more expensive that you expected it to be.

This is a SCAM! If you win something you should never have to pay anything to get it. You can report this to just about anyone you'd like, but the people you sent your $87.50 to have long since spent it, moved locations and are scamming others.
