If a cruise line does not depart from somewhere near my area for June of next year, can that still change? |
I was looking at the Carnival Cruise Line, and the departure dates for the specific month I want are only for New York and Baltimore. I live no where near there, but again, this is the schedule for next year. Can the cruise line still add on to the list but before it's too late to make a reservation? I've never been on a cruise, so I'm curious here. Thanks :) |

Is your question June of 2010? I think everyone else thought you meant June this year. If you meant 2010, no they have not finished posting that far in advance yet. Usually a year out is as far as it goes. They don't have postings for much of next year and they only post a couple ports this far out--usually NY and Baltimore. They don't have very many cruises leaving from those ports so when it fills up, it's done. However they have hundreds out of Florida (Miami, Ft Lauderdale, Tampa, Carnaveral).
If you do not live near the area though, they do not have too many ports cruise ships can sail out of. Galveston, New Orleans, and those out of Florida are most of the choices so you'll probably have to travel to one of those areas. |

It sucks because I really wanted to go on a Cruise out of Florida with A lot of my friends, but now I'm going to have to raise even more money to be able to ride Royal Carribeans Oasis of The Seas (the only ships I've found that leaves out of Florida, theres probably more but I'm just going to stick with this). |

Usually cruise lines when they reposition ships to different ports, they announce a year in advance. so for the rest of 2009 you are out of luck however some changes could be made to 2010 schedule. good luck |

Cruise lines set their schedule several years in advance. You can already get a cruise atlas for 2010. I suggest you not worry about finding a cruise near you and instead pick a place you want to go to and just fly or take a train to there. Most people of the United States do not live very near a cruise port. |
