If you book a cruise on line is the price of the cabin per nite or a flat rate? |

The price will be for the cruise per person based on double occupancy. So, for example, if you see a price of $899. that is for the cruise and you will be expected to purchase two tickets at that price. The price of the cruise includes your cabin selected, all meals, all entertainment on ship, and use of all facilities on ship.
In some cases the advertised price includes taxes and port charges and in others it does not, so you must read the fine print carefully. If you book on line when you get to the actual booking phase the taxes and charges will be added. Also, some cruise lines will automatically add travel insurance. So if you do not want the insurance you have to cancel it out. Some cruise line sites will give you the option of booking air travel to the cruise port city and/or transfers from the airport to and from the ship. So in some cases you can add all of it to the cruise fare.
The best way to find the actual total price on line is to go through the process of booking until you get to the screen that says, "confirm" or "Book this reservation"; then look at and/or print the page and then cancel the transaction.
Then there will be additional expenses once you are on ship for gratuities for the staff (about $10 a day per person), for soft drinks and alcoholic beverages, for tours from the ship, for photos you care to purchase, for massages and spa treatments, and for any specialty restaurant meals you may want. |
|

This Note's For You
|
All staterooms are booked for the entire cruise, there is no "per night' charge.
In addition, alcoholic drinks and items from the in-room mini-bar are not included in the cruise price, and gratuities are expected as well.
Gratuities are generally figured at $10 per guest per day. |

price is for the cruise. for instance a 7 day eastern carribbean cruise. You can ask a travel agent to break down the price to a "per dayj' charge, You also need to figure in Taxes and Port charges which are extra. Also you will need to remember tips are part of an extra cost. (usually for your cabin steward, dining room steward,) good luck |

I agree with vas - good info. Also it is per person. You need minimum of 2 people per cabin. But price includes your room, meals, & transportation. It is the best deal in the world. I suggest you go to cruisecritic.com and this site to get helpful hints from others on tip and such. Just little things that will help but your going to have the best time of your life. Enjoy |

In most cases, as stated by all of the people above me, the price quoted is for the cruise, per person, double occupancy.
There is one cruiseline that deviates from that and that is easyCruise who do price their cruises per day, per person, double occupancy. |

Whether you book a cruise on line or with a travel agent, the price quoted is for the cruise. It includes all food, some beverages, no liquor, no shore excursions, and no travel to and from the port. |
