If you wre a passenger on a cruise ship and you refused to participate in the lifeboat drills, what would occur?
lwould you be arrested or fined or locked up on the ship?
Almost all drills are held prior to sailing, and are mandatory. They take roll, and go find people who are AWOL. If you refuse you can be removed from the ship -- no refund, no apology, no recourse. Read the fine print on your ticket.

Every time I've been on a cruise the muster drill happened before the ship set sail. I suppose they could just make you leave the ship if you refused to participate. If the ship has already sailed they could make you get off at the next port.

Lol, just fined. If you were REALLY abnoxous anout it, they would kick you off next port, no refunds, and make you get your own way back home.

I'm in the USCG and you'll get Fined, and them get boarded to look for more stuff to fine you for.

It beats me, why someone would like to miss something which could safe their life in case of an emergency.
Where I worked a second drill was done for those which missed the first one - and that normally did it.
Mr. Wrestling

I don't think they'd go that far, but you might be put off ship at the next port.

They would make you walk the plank..

I have been on over 20 cruises with my father who is 80+ and he has never been to a drill. When asked I just say he is taking a nap. Never a problem & we enjoyed each cruise. Of the 3 different cruises line we have sailed with I have seen them have a second drill for those who have missed the first one. Holland, Norwegian & Princess.
