I went on a cruise two and a half years ago and this is what I would recommend for you to take:

- Books & magazines to read
- Bathroom accessories (soap, shampoo, tooth brush & paste, etc. since the ones they offer aren’t very good)
- Hand sanitizer
- Sun screen & sun glasses
- Flip-flops or comfortable shoes to wear
- Suit/dress & tie for formal night (if the cruise has one)
- Money for tips (it is courteous to provide tips to the people who clean your room everyday once or twice)
- Camera of course

Have a great vacation and don’t forget to take pictures!

Formal, casual and lazy clothes. Light fabrics and such as well. A lot of the cruises have formal dinners and such, so it's best to have a few outfits for it. When touring the islands light fabrics, tshirts etcetc... Also make sure you take the usual sunblock, bug spray, and you're usual toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, etcetc...

something to swim in and a sweater in case it gets cold

short sleeves and shorts and a cooler full of pop!!!!!!!!! lol thats what i would pack oh and my cell gotta have my cell!

Take swimsuits, and clothes that fit the Hawaiian environment.

Badfish
Someone said the water will be cold! That is ridiculous. It's hawaii for pete's sake. Bring warm weather clothing and a light sweater of jacket in case or either bad weather or cold AC (inside parts of the cruise ship.) I'm guessing you're going with NCL...nice boats but they have a reputation for horrible customer service.
