All you need is a passport.
If you require a personal visa for any country that the cruise is going to, the cruise line will inform you in the documents section of the booking.
I have been on numerous Mediterranean cruises and a visa has never been a requirement, even for Egypt, where you do need a visa for a land holiday.
For some countries, if a visa is required, the cruise ship arranges a 24 hour block visa for all staff and passengers. All you need to do is leave your passport at reception for Custom examination.

Depends on your nationality - which you are not telling us.
If you are from the US, then no you don't need a visa - if the cruise stops in EC ports.

NO, with a few exceptions. I have cruised the Mediterranean twice and have another cruise of the Med booked right now so I have researched what is required. If you are a U.S. citizen then you are in the same category as me and subject to the same requirements.

You do need a passport but I have been to all of these countries in/on the Med with no VISA required:
France, Italy, Greece, Spain, Gibraltar, the Canary Islands, Morocco, Portugal, and Turkey. Turkey requires a visa only if you are going to stay more than 24 hours. I will be going to Egypt later this year and that requires a VISA which you obtain at the entry port for $15 per person. WE are also going to Malta and Cyprus and neither of them require a VISA.

Now if you are a citizen of a country other than the U.S. you may have different requirements. If I didn't cover where you will cruise to you may want to visit the US State Department web site that has VISA information: http://travel.state.gov/travel/cis_pa_tw/cis/cis_1765.html

For most of Europe the answer is no but you should check with your travel agent, especially for eastern Mediterranean countries.

It depends on where your from, but if your from the USA, then no you do not need a visa, just a passport. I have only needed a visa when I went to Australia and I believe places in the Orient like China. Any time a visa is reguired, your travel agent would let you know.

Dina H
its mostly likely to be a yes, so bring your visa. You never know what could happen while your there!
