Information on cruise departures.?

When you go on a cruise and it's finished, upon returning to the original departure harbour would you:

a)Get off the boat and go straight to the airport to return to your home?

or

b) Spend several more days in the city you land in?

Well that really depends primarily on your personal preferences and just a little on flight schedules.

If you land back in Rome, or Venice, or Athens, Greece, or London, for example, you may want to take a day or two to see the city. But if you land in NY City, or Tampa, or Mobile, Alabama, or even Miami, I would want to go on home.

Sometimes when you cruise the flight schedules are such that you may miss the morning flight back home and have to wait until 5:00PM or 10:00 PM to catch your flight home. So why not stay over a night and then catch the early morning flight the next day. I am having to do just that on some cruise plans I am working on right now.

cruise junkie
I usually go to my cruise departure port 2 or 3 day early.. prevents missing the boat and when i get back I want to go home and rest.

Depends on where the harbor is- our next one sails from Mobile, AL, and we'll probably go right home (I used to live in AL, and don't really care to stay).

Cruising from an interesting place, we'd probably hang out for a day or two.

tropics man
We go straight home, but if we could we'd stay..

IT DEPENDS WHERE YOU ARE SAILING FROM FOR EXAMPLE IF ITS FROM A PORT IN MIAMI I WOULD JUST GO STRAIGHT HOME BUT IF FROM A EUROPEAN PORT I WOULD STAY A COUPLE OF DAYS

bob shark
I usually just go home because I have used up the money I intended to spend.
I use cruises to take me to lots of places, those that seem interesting to me, I return for a 1 week land holiday by plane.and hotel.

Time travler

I usually visit the city before a cruise, but you could do it after if you are not too tired or have money to do so. It makes for a more restful trip without the all day event of getting off the ship, then going to the airport, then sitting in a plane for hours, then getting home from the airport.
