Legend if one of Royal Caribbean's older ships and in my experience, they are not one of the better lines when it comes to upkeeping ships. I've not been on Legend of the Seas for some time now, but the reviews are still pretty good, considering the age. I will include a link to some reviews for you to look over.
Not sure if you have cruised before, but be sure to bring some medicine in case you have some problems with waves. Some of the older ships don't have real good stabilizers, so they can still be a little rocky, if you would get into a storm or something, it is best to be prepared.
Rooms with a balcony/verandah are the best. To be honest, I don't book a cruise now unless I am able to get a balcony. You can always go out on the promenade or one of the top decks to get some fresh air, but there is just something nice about having your own little area where you can go to get away from all the people. Verandahs are the way to go, and are especially fun at night when you can sit and look at the stars and listen to the ocean.
Have a great time! |

Balcony room is as good as it gets. You will have a ball, cruising is the best vacation there is. |

I ALWAYS get a balcony cabin whenever I cruise and I don't even look at any of the lower categories. Here's why.
The balcony cabin gives you private space on ship, especially on "at sea" days when the pool and sun decks are full of people. The balcony cabin allows you to expand your living space; you just open the balcony door and you can walk right out, have a seat, or to see the sights. To me it makes the room feel larger.
I sometimes use the balcony at night to just sit out and relax for a short while after I am ready for bed. Sometimes if I wake in the middle of the night, or real early morning I step out and enjoy the view and solitude, no need to even get dressed. A balcony cabin on a cruise of the Caribbean is really nice because the air is usually balmy. You can also hear the ocean, if that's your thing, from a balcony cabin. If you are pulling into port, or leaving, you don't have to get dressed to go up on a deck to see, just go to your balcony
I have a ordered breakfast room service and had it on the balcony. About the only drawback that I have found in balcony cabins is neighbors. Balconies are always separated by partitions but on a few rare occasions I have had neighbors who weren't really noisy, but just talkative and the sound carried. The worse situations I have had are the ones where I had neighbors who smoked and their cigar and other smoke waifed over to my balcony. |

One of the nicer things that separate RC from Carnival is you can order room service from the main dining room during dinner hours. That is, anything being served in the main dining room can be delivered to your cabin. This is great if it is a formal night and you don't feel like dressing up. You don't have to miss out tasting from the main menu.
One bad thing about Mexican ports is the locals can be very aggressive trying to get you in their cab, store, restaurant or begging money from you. Just say "No, gracias" and keep walking. Cabo isn't as bad for this since there are so many Americans living there.
It's pretty much impossible to have a bad time on a cruise unless you get seasick or are just in a bad mood. There are always at least three things to do at any time. The problem is deciding what to do next!!
You will have fun(and eat too much ; ) |

balcony room is great if your a smoker, but if your on a honeymoon you might get pushed over it lol j/k, umm my adivice is dont gamble on the ship, you'll lose all your money and theres no such thing as a bad experience on a cruise ship unless you fall overboard or unless you get crazy drunk and get sea sickness, well that a different story lol |

Balcony rooms costs more. The only thing nice about them is you see the view evrytime the ship docks somewhere. Geat fo honeymooners too who wanna spend most of their time inside. |
