To some yes. Different tastes for different people. I live 100' feet from where a lake and river meet. It is a small resort area in up state New York.
Yet on a cruise for your investment you get = Lodging, Travel, A WIDE variety of all different types of Food, Entertainment, See some of the MOST AMAZING places in the WORLD, meet People from all over the World, Visit different ports of call & learn the native culture & history.
This is just afew things. Everyone expects alittle something different on their vacation.
HAPPY NEW YEAR. |

I ONLY like the cruises where you are on the ship at night and a different port every day - I get too bored when all that is available is the casino on board. I don't like days at sea much. |

I have to say, YES! Unpack once, and see many ports of call. All the food you could ever want, entertainment that is top notch. You meet people from different walks of life and learn how different everyone is. I would rather take a cruise vacation than any other I can think of. |

My wife and I are going on our second Carnival cruise in April 2009. In my opinion, cruising is sooo much easier and nicer than a vacation to some hotel, car rental place, having to decide where to eat every meal, driving in unknown cities and arguing over going left or right. On a cruise you don't think about the driving. You know where your going to eat meals, your traveling to exotic, beautiful places while your being pampered and wined and dined. I've never had a bed in any motel or hotel as comfortable than on a Carnival cruise bed. Where else could you book a vacation on the " layaway plan? " Pay some each month and don't hurt your budget until it's payed for. Where else can you go on vacation and not have to spend ANY more money for things? I think a cruise holiday is THE way to go.. |

Yes it is. Where else can you stay at a resort for a couple of hundred dollars a day for room, unlimited food, shows, and activities? The passengers are from around the world and you visit ports from around the world. You have a choice to relax or engage in unlimited activities.
I am leaving in 6 days for a two week round trip to Hawaii. I will have 8 days at sea, 4 days in Hawaii, and 1 day in Mexico. I am counting the minutes until we leave.
Anyone who says negative things about a cruise has not been on one or has taken a cheap ferryboat to Bermuda.

Sure if you enjoy getting a case of horrible bed bugs, or captured by pirates, or Sars or listeria,,now add to the seven mysterious accidents of passengers that "fall" overboard and nowhere to be seen, well no I can think of other ways to enjoy a holiday..LOL |

Nope! On a cruise, mainly all you get to see is the sea. I've seen the sea before. As a matter of fact, I live next to it. When I go on hols I like to go to somewhere that is different to my everyday life at home and immerse myself in their culture and food and get to know different types/kinds of people. On a cruise you are all the same - all from the same country, living the same kinds of life. Personally, I think they are just big floating pubs and pick up joints. |
