Depending on the ship, there is a ton to do onboard. The newer ships have a lot more to do onboard than some of the older ships.
Also, depending on the line, the food and service is excellant. Some lines have really great food and service, others are somewhat average.
The main complaint with cruises is that you don't get much time at the ports, only a few hours at each. So, you don't have much time to explore and get to look around. But, I look at it in two ways. One, it gives you the perfect reason to cruise back sometime, or it gives you the perfect reason to vacation there some time. If you go to a port for a few hours and don't really like it, it isn't that big of a deal, but if you spend your whole vacation on the island and don't like it, it is a little more dissapointing.
I love cruising, it is a ton of fun! |

Its so much. Its disconnecting from your every day life, meeting people you would have never met, doing things and seeing things you dont do in your normal every day life. I would do it again if I could. |

Well, part of it depends. Are you 18+? Are you 21+? If you answered yes to either of my questions, you'll have fun. Now if you answered "no" to the questions well, you may still have fun.
Its all about the destinations too. Do some research on what there is to enjoy. On the boat itself they usually have a bunch of activities going on at anytime. The food is wonderful. They have sports and other activities to occupy your time.
Look into where your cruise is going. See if you can look up what their excurtions are. That way you can plan out what you'd like to see when you go ashore.
Regardless of your age, you'll have a good time on a cruise. |

It's like a hotel and mall and casino and a recreation center all in one. If you like those sorts of things and don't get seasickness, you'll love it. I *do* get seasick, and I still enjoyed it. |

If you are female, Yes Definitely.
You like getting dressed up for dinner after a day in the sun
you like to ly around the pool in your new swimsuit and get ogled by the old guys. You like the bingo, you like the shows, you like the aerobics class and the side tours. There is lots to do, but most things you do cost money, like drinks, casino, bingo, mandatory tips, expensive side tours in port, shopping on ship, pictures on the ship,
But as long as you are ready for this and have the money. It is great. |

Its the best. For a whole week or so you don't have to cook, clean. Its all done for you. You get to visit places you may have never been to. You will meet many new people. Its just an awesome vacation to take, enjoy! |

i think cruises are like "sample" vacations. Since you stop at so many places, you get to see different areas in the world!! To me, going on a cruise is the BEST vacation anyone can take!! |

I haven't cruised the 'ocean' but I've cruised across the Gulf of Mexico to the Caribbean and LOVED it both times. I will definitely cruise again!
It's a fabulous way to travel...it's like going on a trip but taking your home with you. ☺ You unpack once and the whole ship is your "home"...you can eat, drink, and find activities to do 24 hrs a day...when you stop at a port you can come and go from the ship as you desire, to go shopping or sightseeing or take a tour, but then you return "home" to your ship where all your things are waiting for you.
It's awesome! |

The ship itself is a small town - lots to do all the time - or not, as you choose.
Cruising on the ocean is wonderful. If you tend to get motion sickness, take Dramamine BEFORE you get on board - and take it regularly. The gentle rocking when you are at sea will put you to sleep like a baby at night.
The different ports are fun to explore. If you have never been to Hawaii, it is a great way to experience each of the main islands.
Yes it's 'a lotta fun'. |

It is alot of fun. I think that people of all ages can enjoy a cruise. It is almost like a 5 or 4 star hotel on the water! Since you paid for everything already you dont have to worry about paying for food ( unless you go to a specialty restaurant). unlike if you were in a real hotel. Not to mention you are getting 5 star cuisine day in and day out. You have people to serve you and clean up after you. You are basically treated like royalty. You have so many activities not to mention the excurisions ( if you choose to get off the boat when they dock at certain locations you can go and do more activities on land). A criuise in my opinion is the best vacation a person can choose its like escaping the everyday hussle and bussle of the real world. |
