you would be better off booking in advance, the odds of finding one are slim to none

All of the cruise terminals that I have been to won't even let you in the terminal unless you already have your ticket.

Check out www.vacationstogo.com

They have a 90-day ticker that shows the most current cruise bargains.

Southern Apostolic
Possible. but unlikely. Every time I have cruised, there has always been a sign at the terminal that says the ship is booked up.

TINKERTOY ..... the 1 & only
Do not count on it. First of all most cruise sell out and the lines do not know about no-shows until its time to pull anchor and go. I have been on many cruises and NEVER seen a desk at the port where you could walk up and buy a ticket. In addition, the biggest discounts on cruise tickets are given for those who book in advance.

This is virtually impossible as it takes at least a couple of weeks to process your personal details and issue your tickets.

depends on ship company, size of ship, here your porting, where you look for tickets, ext.

You can do it online about 30 days before,
I did it once a few years ago.

Cruise security is even tighter than airport. All cruise lines that board passengers at US ports require complete passport info prior to sailing and verify everything prior to issuing documents. Since 9/11 don't know of any cruise lines that will book you at the port. Some will not book you within a week of the sailing. It really all a matter of security.

kimmer727
Yes you can, but you risk getting there and having a full ship (no cabins available) - or getting stuck with a really horrible cabin. If these things don't bother you, go for it.

No way, Jose.
