Not at all, although you are likely to be sent to the gift shop and wind up paying $5 for it.
Cruise lines will do a lot to help you, especially if you're in the higher-priced cabins. |

Carnival provides generic shampoo and soap in the showers.
On a few sailings, you will get samples of razors and toothpaste but not enough to get you through the week.
You should take your own toiletries and OTC meds.
The gift shop does carry a small selection of toiletries but they are very expensive. |

Cruise lines have a small gift shop which usually carries toiletries but may not carry everything that you are looking for. And they will charge a hefty price for it.
Just bring what you need and don't worry about it. Unless you are flush with cash and like visiting the gift shop. |

Of course not, its usually in the room when you get there, (sample packs)
lol, a few years ago, on a cruise i was on, we didn't have any, and the room stewart wasn't out yet. We had none in our cabin. for some reason, and the gift shop wasn't open to buy any. I went outside, and there was a lady walking out her room, so i go "can i borrow some tooth paste" and she said sure, and went and got me a little tube.
So no its fine to ask. |
