Is it worth going on a Disney cruise with just 2 adults?

if so what would you recommend to do on a 7 day western caribbean cruise?

The travel channel just did a documentary on Disney ships, and I was extremely shocked to find how much they also cater to adults. Separate, pools, jacuzzi's, clubs....etc. Even their shore excursion to Disney's private island, has a stretch of beach strictly for adults. I am going on the Norwegian Pearl in October for a 5 day western caribbean cruise and it will be my first, so I am not exactly an expert, but I did watch the travel channel about Disney ships, and was impressed. Have a great time. Have you been to cruisecritc.com? I have gotten a lot of information on every cruise line and destination, and shore excursions there are. It has been a great help. Just register and then go to the boards to read all the postings. You can go to the roll call section and pick your ship and date and meet others who are going on the same cruise. Good luck.

We went on the Disney Cruise - 3 adults. My sister, my husband and me. We had a blast. There are places on the ship for adults only - an adults only pool, etc. The only thing that the Disney Ships do not have is a Casino. Although I must say I really didn't miss it and I do like to gamble.
On their private island they also have an Adults Only Beach. If you don't want to be around the kids - you certainly don't have to. We were not annoyed by them at all.
Disney has great entertainment and the ships are beautiful.

We went on the Disney Wonder with 4 adults and had just the best time ever! There were not kids everywhere, as we all thought there might be. We weren't even 'Disney People' and honestly, it was the best cruise ever!

Everything, am I mean everything, was top notch. Everything was clean and beautiful, nothing rundown like a lot of other cruise lines, the staff was excellent and soo nice, and the food was delicious. A good thing about it being 'kid-friendly' were the mickey mouse ear ice creams (on the kids menu at dinner times)... they are literally yummy Dove Bar ice creams shaped liked Mickey! Delicious! The entertainment was great too- nice family style Broadway shows with just amazingly talented people. The piano bar was great- we did that a few nights! We even played Bingo! Total riot!

The Disney private island is amazing... they have access step up on different sidesof the island, so everyone has there own space- one for families, sports and adults, etc. Adults meaning no kids allowed... We did that one and we felt like we were on our own private island. Beauty as far as you can see! I personally have never been more at peace than sitting in the sand on the waters edge...

I would def go again... And plan to next year. In my opinion, it is totally worth the extra money. Think about Disneyland, nothing is left out... same goes for their cruise ships!

Lastly, I'd like to say it is wholesome, if that makes sense. No one trying to 'mac' on you... No rowdy drunk people. I could compare it to living on the 'nice side of town' as opposed to not...

Book it ! You WON"T regret it.

Disney cruise ships are very, very nice...however, they are geared for families...

So, you will have several hundred children on board, no casino, few bars and no smoking. The activities aboard are heavily child and family-oriented.

I cruised Disney twice with my daughter and grandson. He had a great time. My daughter and I endured. I would NEVER have selected Disney as a cruise for just myself and a companion. Too many kids and not enough adult entertainment or venues.

There are so many nice cruiselines that offer Wester Caribbean cruises that are adult-oriented. Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Princess....all would be cheaper and you, as adults, would have more options.

Later: How interesting to see 2 negative ratings on my response. Wonder just what I posted that generated that? Some folks just trolling for points? Or, just enjoy clicking?
Truth is truth.....and I have over 100 cruises in my background......

Well there are many pros and cons of disney ships

With 2 adults I would say no, although Disney ships do a lot to accomodate every age, i would say that you could get a much better experience on celebrity or royal carribean with just adults..here are some links that will help you:

as far as quality of cruising, disney is one of the best.
But you could get a caribbean cruise on princess, carnival, celebrity, rccl, holland america. for less expense and be able to plan more excursions or your next cruise. good luck

NO. Unless you're a huge Disney fanatic, I'd avoid Disney. Not only are there more kids than any other cruise line, there are more big groups/families. Any everything is geared towards kids/families. Not that there aren't "adult" things to do or places like the spa which are adult only, but I think you'd be better off on another ship. Plus, you know Disney is often 30% to 50% more expensive for similar 7 cruises than Princess, Holland America, Royal Caribbean?

Yggdrasil Mithos Symphonia
I'd do Carnival!

I went on the Disney trip, and there are tons of kids running around the ship.

Only if you REALLY love Disney.
Why not try Carnival or Royal Caribbean? They're cheaper, have better food, and travel to all the same places.

kicka
i'll do royal carribean, disney cruise has so many kids!!!

It's that lovin' sound

i don't think so.
