Is the disney cruise worth the extra money?

No. I would rather go on Carnival and let the people in the casino subsidize my trip. The higher fare on Disney is to make up for this.

We felt it was, because we were looking for the full family experience. The Disney cruise has great fun for the whole family together (shows are kid friendly, dining and entertainment times are better for the younger crowd). But it also has kids clubs open from 8am-1am with no additional cost. No other cruise line has that. And while kids are enjoying the clubs their is plenty for adults to do. We would wake up get breakfast with the kids, go swimming, put them in the kids club, go get a massage and lunch by ourselves and maybe even a nap. Pick up the kids go swimming, go to dinner and a show, drop the kids back at the kids club and go out for cocktails. The kids were always begging to be in the kids club, and my husband and I loved the balance of relaxing alone and getting to do fun things with them. Royal Carribean has a great kids club but the hours (last I checked) do not give you the same freedom to use it whenever your kids might want. We were also really pampered by Disney. At the adults only restaurant Palo's I really enjoyed the Tiramisu alot (had more then 1 serving, hey it was vacation), so the staff their sent a piece of it down to my room every night for the rest of the cruise!!

Yes, if you are cruising with very small children. Under age 8 and under.

Disney is not an adult's cruise that accomodates children. It is a children's cruise that accomodates adults.

Mickey Mouse overload!

The older kids don't enjoy the Disney experience quite as much.

We introduced our girls to cruising at ages 5 and 7 on the Disney cruise. They loved it.

However, as they have gotten older, they prefer Carnival.

As a 30year old, single adult, I would say yes! Believe it or not, that is the only cruiseline where I didn't see many children! They have great activities set up for adults and seperately for children and really allow you to have an ideal vacation.

Well, it depends on your needs and preferences. What are you looking for? What do you want to do? Have you explored other cruise lines? Why don't you check out www.bestcruisespot.com for all the available cruise lines? Other cruise lines might have what you want and for cheaper prices too! One thing I learned from having been on several cruises is you need to do a lot of research and talk to a good agent for tips and advices.

It depends upon why you are considering it. Disney does offer the total Disney atmosphere with many disney related experiences. For example, most of the ships will offer sorbet as a palate cleanser between courses. Disney provides the sorbet in an ice slipper (cinderella's). Disney has color changing china in the dining room and other such visual enhancements. However, if you are looking for a good cruise price with a great children's program, I would suggest Royal Caribbean. They have an excellent program, and unlike many other lines, their age groups are in 2 year brackets. For more info, feel free to e-mail me .
