It would depend on where you are going and for how long you will be cruising. If it is a warm/hot spot then bring shorts, swim wear, casual slacks or Capri's and tee-shirts and 1 nice black dress or dressy out fit if it is a 4-5 day cruise (2 of these outfits if it is a 7-10 days cruise. Also comfortable shoes such as tennis shoe with rubber sole because sometime the boat deck is slippery, a pair of sandals or flip flops and a new pair of dress shoes with heals for the Captain's ball. Pack as light as you can because you may see some things that you would like to bring back from your trip. Always take many memorable pictures that you can review years later and recall how much fun you had.

You will need nice casual clothes and at least one dressy outfit like a cocktail dress. People dress up for dinner and there is usually one formal night.

I have been on a couple of cruises. Normally I wear capris or shorts/skorts with either a t-shirt or tank top. I also bring some club tops and a couple pair of jeans, for excursions where long pants are required and for the club. As for formal nights I don't really dress up, usually I wear slacks or jeans with a sweater or dress shirt, I always carry a sweater or light jacket as it can get cold on the ship. Also on the ship I wear flip flops, but I do bring an extra pair of sandals for the formal nights and tennis shoes for excursions where I may do a lot of walking.

I've been on 2 cruises so far, one of them actaully went to Bahamas, it was really pretty. Wear flowy and summer things. Like patterned dresses or summer clothes, simple things like that to keep you cool and looking cute. Also, bring formal outfits for dinner.

this is a vacation so be comfortable,
I mostly had my jean or khaki skirts and nice shirt, in the evening I went up a scale, casual dress, but that is just what I wanted to do.
rememer ther will be alt least one formal night, a 7 day or more has 2.

casual clothes. shorts, flipflops, tank tops, swim suits. you can pretty much wear a swimsuit anywhere on the ship, so it's casual. but, (depending on the cruise line) if you go to dinner, it's just a little more dressed up, but i wore jeans and a billabong shirt, so it's not really gown and suit.

also, my travel agent (and alot of other people) say that you don't have to bring an outfit for everyday. instead bring a couple pairs of shorts, and a couple of shirts and mixnmatch.

hope that helped a little. : D
