Looking for cruises? |
Okay me and my friend are looking foward to going on a cruise after graduate school is over next year what are some great cruise lines I should look into and what are some nice islands I should look into that are nice to be in. Thank you for answering Additional Details To be discreet I have been on carnival cruise and it was nice some minor stuff happened like salty pool water but thats about it, my bestfriend has never been on a cruise. Now I heard that Royal Carribean was a bit intimate and alot structured but Im looking for a cruise ship that two bestfriends who are females can just go on and celebrate just graduating from graduate school. On the Royal Carribean what activities and entertainment do they have for 23 and 24 year olds?Im not a big partier,I party once a year but my friend is a bit of a outgoer. Although I believe in people having fun on cruises because thats what they are there for, I dont want people to keep me up because their partying and drunk next door, But Im a bit worried about traveling with royal carribean because I dont wanna go on royal carribean and feel uncomfortable because its a ship for couples either and not be exciting. Is any diners 24 hours? 2 personalities- which ship best suits us Carnival or Royal? Carribean? |

I have never been on CArnival, but I have been on many Royal Caribbean, Norwegian and Princess cruises and ships. I would recommend RC ahead of Carnival any day. Carnival is the fun ship, but their accommodations and food are not the best. Carnival is the party cruise line that most young folks and first time cruisers take (ages 20 to 35) who want to party, party, party. If that’s what you are looking for then Carnival is the one for you.
Princess, Royal Caribbean, Holland America, Celebrity, and Norwegian tend to have people who have cruised many times and are in the 40 and over age group; a more reserved crowd. All of these cruise lines may also have some kids but not many.
These cruisers tend to be the older people (40+). That does not mean these cruises are dull, it just means that the passengers are more mature and reserved. You will find the 40+ crowd in the bars and disco and having as good a time as the youngsters, but you may not hear them across the room or deck. The RC, Princess, Norwegian and Celebrity ships have a disco that starts late at night, plus activities for singles, and pool parties and other activities all day on ship just like Carnival. But you get better food and accommodations.
Another important factor to consider is, cruises going to the Caribbean tend to have more young folks than those going to Alaska, Panama, the Mediterranean, the Baltic, or South America. People who go to the Caribbean are looking for fun things like beaches, jet skiing, snorkeling and scuba diving, parasailing, and a lot of other activities related to water and beaches. On the other hand, people who go to Alaska, Panama, the Mediterranean, etc., are looking for cultural and historic activities. |

If you want to have a great time, with plenty of 20 and 30 somethings that want to have a great time but not be blitz out of their mind, and without the multitude of kids, I'd suggest going with Norwegian Cruise Line. The nicest part of their cruises is what they call "Freestyle Cruising." You get to dine in any of up to 13 restaurants, at what ever time you wish, with whomever you'd like....you're not pigeon-holed, required to eat either early or late in a specific place, at an assigned table (like you had in kindergarten), with people you may or may not know.
I'd recommend calling Fran, my Personal Cruise Consultant with NCL, at 866-234-0292, ext 7244. |

Both are great cruise lines. Carnival is cheaper, and its more of a partyer type of atmosphere and more gambling. I think that you and your friend would have a great time, and all pools are salty on cruise ships and no one likes it either. I can tell you that from experience. Royal Caribbean is a for a little older people hten you but still has some great things to do with great destinations. If you decide to go as money isnt an issue they have great destinations and have ice skating rinks, rock climbing, and a whole bunch of other adventerous things. I would also recommend Eastern Caribbean. St. Thomas is the best island ever. St. Maarten is also a great island. Some cruise lines go to both. I would just highly recommend their or Mexico. |

You came to the right place. Royal Caribbean has tons of destinations...and they are terrific. You feel like you are the president! (well maybe not this year). They have a stunning southbound cruise from Seward to Vancouver BC and seeing Alaska was awesome. We went this last September and it was breathtaking and the best weather...was in the 50's almost every day.
Have gone on a Caribbean cruise with them and that was great. Will be going on a Princess cruise next Saturday with my office staff and we are leaving from San Juan on the Crown Princess going to St. Thomas, St. Kitts, Grenada, Bonaire and Aruba and then back to San Juan. In December 07, we are going over New Years Eve on Royal Caribbean to the Mexican Riviera...Leave from LA, cruise to Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan and then Puerto Vallarta...all of these are 7 days cruises. Just go to Royal Caribbean.com or Princess Cruises.com and you can find tons of info and pick your time and destination. Have a blast..it is the best vacation ever! |

All depends what you want to do and what you want to see. I LOVE the Caribbean, especially Southern. I always cruise Royal Caribbean. If you go to their site www.rccl.com you can look at the different itineraries and look at the excursions for those islands you can get a better idea. Also, they have specials posted every Tuesday @ http://www.creative.rccl.com/sales/promowave/RCL.pdf.
Have fun!!!! |

The Carnival Cruise Line is the best. You should take the Carnival Cruise Line because they offer you nothing but the best of everything they have, even in the lower decks of the ship. |
