I have been looking for a cruise to Hawaii and cannot seem to find any good ones. I want one the just goes around the islands both STARTS and ENDS in Hawaii. I don't want to be stuck on the ship for several days while it goes to San Diego or Vancouver.
Also I know NCL has one but I do not want to cruise with them. Also no private cruse lines. One that is a chain with multiple ships.
I believe that Norwegian is the only line left with cruises within Hawaii.
I will be leaving on a two week cruise from LA to Hawaii and back in January on the Golden Princess. It is probably the only cruise to Hawaii from the US. There is nothing wrong with being "stuck" on the ship. I will be at sea for 8 days on the 14 day cruise. It is great for relaxing.

I agree with you. Of the cruises i have seen for travel to hawaii , there are two types. NCL which you fly to the big island and travel for 7 days around the island.
or a cruise from LA california, or san diego, cal which has some sea days included and is somewhere around 14 to 17 days long.
I think if those options are not to your liking I would call a travel agent who specializes in cruising, and ask for some other options. I have seen segment cruises that include hawaiian islands on some of their world cruises.

The last cruise line pre NCLA was the famous United States Lines which ceased operations in 2001 after binladen did his thing. The Pride of America has exclusive rights for cruises which start and end in the islands... all other ones start from the mainland call in mexico spend 4 or 5 days at sea cruise hawai and come back. im afraid u have no choice but NCL America
